What is this?

I turned onto the freeway, and heard and felt a sound. I stopped and found this sitting in the road. Promptly went home and looked under the car, but couldn't find where it came from. You will get my forever friendship if you can tell me what or where it came off.

The first pic where my finger is, that is where it snapped off. The other end bolts to something, obviously not anymore. So it is some king of hanger.

looks like the support for your rear motor/trans mount - can't remember if it is just on 5spd or autos, if it is this no biggie, still might want to check your motor mounts just to make sure.

Didn't know your P5 made that much torque!(bowdown) j/k

take a look at this picture -

looks to me like its the bracket holding the AC line up near the passenger side strut top.

no, not the AC line. As for the Motor mount, it may be that. Will have to jack the car up again to look. It is a good possibility cause I had the AWR rear installed, and removed within a week after.
