ok guys i cant find the problem. ive posted on this before but everyone tells me to check my waste gate and vac lines and i have countless times. on lets say a 32 degree day i will hit fuel cut at 4 to 4.5 grand depending on the temp and now i look over at the boost gauge and im freaking boosting 15 psi!!!!!! i have replaced the wastegate (stock was bad anyways) and pulled vac on the lines countless times. im completly lost.... any idears? ill try to post a video when i get home but guys really its killing me!

The swing gate in the turbo is probably seized. If you replaced the actuator and checked ALL the vac lines that is the only thing i can think of. Would suprize me either. Mine warped at 30K miles. Only difference is mine would not boost. But there is a chance yours could have expanded in a way that it locked it into place.

And i wouldnt bother making a video of it. 15psi is very bad for the motor. Make sure you take it easy on that throtle if you plane to drive it. You will blow that motor quick at 15 psi

how much will it cost to fix i dont think that thing siezed because when i put the new waste gate on it moved but it could have broke off b/c when i think about it it swung really really easy.

It should not swing very easy. Did you double check to make sure you hooked everything up right? If it is the swing gate you are screewed. It would be expensive and laborous to fix.

Be careful with it, there is a small C clip that helps keep the actuator arm on. I almost lost mine when I removed the turbo once. If everything looks fine it maybe time to remove the turbo and inspect it, maybe it's something simple.

yeah that C clip we call a jesus clip becuase when they come off only jesus knows where they went. the labor would be free. i can do it my self. and what i cant handle my dad works on cars for a living
so how much would this cost

ok, i don't known what type of turbo is that guy using, but both my Turbo's wastegate , miguel's wastegate, and serg's wastegate, and yet another msp's wastegate..all of them swing freely
actualy, i think if it is too hard it won't open in time.

do this...have the wastegate actuator vac line BY ITSELF
do not TEE it off to anything, just run a straight line from the manifold to the wastegate...
preferibly a new line.
make shure the line doesn't have any holes on it..also, if so equipped, run a dedicated line to the BOV, the rest of the vacs can be tee'd from one source, you have plenty of sources on the manifold.

if it is still boosting 15 psi. make sure you dind't get the ATP turbo higher PSI wastegate, make sure you got the one that says 8 PSI!
i do know there was one for 12 psi also.

IIRC my WG flap swung very freely, after the ATP install I was boosting 6-7 psi like it is supposed to. Maybe the old WGA was accidentally installed, or like Alejo suggested you received the incorrect WGA....

actually it should be 6 psi. At least thats the one i'm using.

i installed my self didnt take long we didnt have to remove the turbo or anything but they could have sent the wrong one.

check this pictures against what you have

see if the numbers match
the old one is the one with the nut in the middle and it looks very old and used

the new one..well..looks new

If you can't see it try a mirror and a flashlight. usualy does the trick.

i recommend waiting til the car is cold...is a b**** getting burn with the exhaust many..and i don't think you would like to have a "calway" tattoo in your arm

so does anyone know where to get this part if the internal wastegate is bad or should i just try and get a used turbo

What part?

If you do have a bad swing gate you would probably need to replace the turbo. I think there are a couple peeps selling uised ones in the FS section. If you have to know how though it would be worth it to just yank the thing down and have a look at it. If there is a problem with the gate it will be noticable.
