LED Scuff plates opinions

Hello everyone! I definitely need some added protection and I'm really thinking about getting some blue LED scuff plate door sills. Ebay has few different ones and I'm not sure which one is the best and If I could get anybody's input who has a set. Do they cover over the the edge? I can't tell from pictures if they do or not. I've seen some pictures of non LED versions covering the edge.

How hard are these to install? I've never modded anything on any car before so it seems a little daunting. Is there any good video tutorials out there? Worst case could I bring these to a body shop and pay someone to install these? Also If I did this, would it void any warranties?

I was thinking of those plates myself, but the blue doesn't match any light I have, so I'd have to mod those to white. I'd probably go to a stereo or general mechanic shop to have them installed, as they're an electrical install. As for warranties, it should not be voided if done correctly, but warranties are always a tricky situation. The problem would have to be proved to be related to the install to be voided.

I've been running mine for over a year. No complaints. The stereo joint installed them. Blue led, but I also use blue lighting. Check aliexpress.com you may be able to get them in red (oem colour) or white

Thanks, I'll look out for some white ones, I haven't been on Aliexpress in about a year.
