Mykflo's Mazda2

you can go 25mm with no problem. A number of people have done it. I am pretty close to that with my setup as well. Looks good. If I ever get another set of wheels for the 2 it is going to be the K1's.

That is the exact wheel I am running on our B-Spec car, offset and everything. I like them since they are easy to clean.

@MzDemio - The kosei k1 were $99 each on sale.. font mightbe able to get you a better price not sure.. the re11a tires were about $120 each. Again.. not sure if font can get u a better price. I webt thru tirerack only because of warranty/ return purposes but everything came out fine.

@ZPS2004 - Good to know.. I am still thinking about the momo bspec podium wheels in black and saw they come in 15x7 25 or 35 offset.. so we can choose either one then huh?

Nice mods! Didn't know you went with the JDM visors!

Love the wheels! I'm sure the roads in your area is a lot better. Northeast/Mid-atlantic eats up kosei's for breakfast.

I'm thinking of getting them too, it will be better for my 205's. Right now they are on the oem 15x6" and it look ok but a bit goofy. Next tires will be 195/50R15

Very very clean buddy! I was wondering where you got that front lisence plate cover?

Oem here too :) In Quebec we don't use front license plates so it comes with that cover. Next summer I'm modding it a bit to add a "removable" driving lamp bracket that will fit behind the cover for a clean look. I've been thinking about this for weeks now.

I live in the country side and man it gets dark out here. I came close to hit a deer last week, didn't see it till I was on it. Good thing for the 2 being a great handler and the Corksport springs help the braking too ;) <------- Derrick got decals and I said that your springs saved MY LIFE, sooo 5% discount for me too ok. Back the the lamps lol, so I need more light but I want to remove them for track days. So stay tuned next summer for this rally style mod, hahahaha it's going to look funny with big PIAA driving lamps up front

So far, how do you like your wheel/tire combo? Have you driven in the heavy rain yet?

I may have to change my mind and got with those instead, can't beat the price and looks of K1's. I may experiment with plasti-dip a bit ;)

I have driven Post Heavy Rain.. and the handled fine but i didn't drive in heavy rain. I'm loving the look, liking the ride. They are a bit rougher than the oem wheels but i was expecting that. I have gotten many compliments on the wheels, it seems a lot of people have never seen K1's even though they have been around for a long time. For the $99 price they can't be beat. I'm debating taking off the blue decals and blue stem cap... we'll see. I had to get the wheels rebalanced even tho they came "balanced" from tirerack. I was getting horrible steering wheel vibrations at over 60mph.. all is good now and I just need a good car wash/ detail. I also need more silver decals as i messed up the other ones i had. ( yeah derrick, i messed up some more haha).

I've actually been considering the same thing, but hadn't thought about making them removable. The original B-Spec Mazda2 is what inspired me, so I was actually looking at LED driving lights. I'm kinda thinking that for this is more a case of thinking something looked cool, but really wouldn't make a whole lot of sense as I don't do a lot of driving in the country. But if you're interested, this is what I found:

Got that idea of set-up for the lamps, spacing them up a bit. Using a home made bracket + welding 2 small bracket to make the mounting spots lined up right outside the end of the front plate rectangle. This will make the lamps more effective I think and I would have to cut a little of the factory cover making it look almost factory.

Ho yeah I forgot about these too and they cost a lot less, but the Kelvin color won't match the Xtreme white of the PIAA. Still worth to look into, I would have to buy Xtreme white H11 for the oem fog lamps

I could add these bulbs in side if I don't like the color
