I've actually been considering the same thing, but hadn't thought about making them removable. The original B-Spec Mazda2 is what inspired me, so I was actually looking at LED driving lights. I'm kinda thinking that for this is more a case of thinking something looked cool, but really wouldn't make a whole lot of sense as I don't do a lot of driving in the country. But if you're interested, this is what I found:

Yeah, I would have to debate to wire them in with the fogs and aim them low, or wire them in with the high beams and aim the straight out.

I'm going for driving lamp set-up, and I want them yellow so I can light them up anytime. If I go with the Black Magic from Hella I'll switch the bulbs out to Ion yellow from Piaa. I'll switch the H11 to Ion Yellow bulbs too, the Corksport LED bulbs ain't bright enough and they don't match the headlamp bulbs..... it's starting to drive me nuts lol

I'll make a mock-up with cardboard with the lamp size to give me an idea of the placement or look. If it looks goofy I wont do it.

As I mentioned earlier my wife said she would buy me whatever I wanted for my car for my bday.. so I wanted some new seats but she shot me down because of the side airbag delete. After a few suggestions she honored none of them and got me seat covers. I wasn't sure about them at first but now I really like them and if I ever do get race seats they will be red.

They are thick and comfy and seem like they'll last plus they are custom fit to the mazda2.

Those look really good. Seems to be nice and snug!
That damned side air bag delete is always a draw back to those wonderful racing seats, I say this as I drool over some I've been thinking about for awhile.

i'm in the same boat, i've been drooling over the red/black Sparco speed2 seats for a good long while now. When i brought it up with my dad his only response was "I thought you liked this car because it was like a safer version of your old CRX, losing an airbag is a step in the wrong direction." But damnit those seats would be amazing, and you save 40 pounds per seat!

any pics of your dash set-up with the lights on? i just bought the Pioneer DEH-X6600BT. Did you get the steering adapter put in as well?

I can post some up later. The colors are customizable, but i'm going with a red theme. Yes i got the adapter to the wheel. All works well.

Cool. I have mine on red as well. I have the adapter, but the shop was going to charge me $100 extra to wire it up so I said not right now. Your info button works correctly with it wired up? Right now I cannot change between Miles until empty, avg mpg, avg speed, etc...

Yes info works and att (mute) works but the source button mutes as well. I just live with it.

As far as doing it yourself I'm sure its just plug and play.. but I don't know about taking apart the steering wheel to accessvthe controls.. or maybe its just a small faceplate. Not sure. I'd have to look at it.

Ok. I was thinking of going to best buy, but too many people said not to use them for this kind of stuff. i will have to go there and get a quote for the install.

I also went to BestBuy for my setup... They installed a new deck, an amp, and a 12" Alpine type R after over a year I have had no problems
