NEMOC Random BS Thread

25 hours of no power and counting. No damage here, though I pray that our RI house got crushed by the old tree in back...

My office in Manhattan is another story. No power expected there till Friday, even if the subway and PATH systems are pumped out and repaired. 7th floor, no known damage, just everything needed to get there from NJ is wrecked. Co-workers living in NYC have various issues, a few are in red cross shelters. One on long island isn't far from where the big fire was.

I lost it 11am on Monday, so I'm over 48 hours now.

28 autoX runs for the Protege5 last weekend. Handles wicked fun with the Racing Beat rear sway bar (Bruce--yours, off the yellow P5).

You can see first cone marks on the wheels in the front.

It's the only action shot I have:

Some guy took a bunch of pictures, but I haven't been able to find them yet.

I got this bad girl sideways a bunch of times, counter-steer and all, wiggling ass end on every run and spun it twice.

Wow, quite some outages for most of you.

Oleg, pretty cool. I think the rear sway was off an MP3? but I might have changed it out??

So I went to install the new racing beat endlinks and found out that they were just as long as the stock ones. Crap. Then I noticed that the left rear tire has a screww in it. My new Contis.

Crap. Pulled the screw and fixed the hole. Oh well, back for a walk on the beach.

i luckily did not lose power for more than a minute but my parents are still without it down on the shoreline.

got an interview for a possibly better job which is much closer to my place. hoping it all goes well!

Morning all.

Pretty cool pics. I hope Mary has dried out by now. No damage to your place I hope.

Another beautiful day here. Going to do some bike riding, beach walking and finally update the NAV maps in Mia today.

It's red with the Racing Beat sticker on it. And definitely has seen better days. Needs a sanding and a repaint.

No damage to the house, just a large tree that broke in half in the far backyard. Had fun with the chainsaw cutting it all up. Halfway up the tree from the bottom was a home for carpenter ants. They ate the core.

hope it works out for you!
Our power was out for about 10 hours, Monday afternoon and through the night. Wife and I went out during the height of the storm and cruised the local shores. We could not go down to Craigville Beach because the road was flooded, so we headed into Hyannisport and the marina.

I think the MP3's came with Racing Beat as standard as it was a collab with them and Mazda.

Nice. Glad to hear no damage to your place.

Sucks Mike. Hopefully tomorrow.

Got the roof patched today so it should be good enough to get quotes and get insurance money.

Nice Ash. At least no more leaks for now.

Updated the NAV maps and software. But found that the mounting bracket for the radio had cracked. Pulled it out and carzy glued it back together. Cleaned a lot of tar and bugs off the car and gave it a good wash. Will reassemble the console tomorrow.

It's nice to have time finally to work on the car.

That they did.

Thanks Phen. There ya go Oleg.

Got the radio bezel fixed and back in the car this morning. Had to remove the entire radio and reinstall it once the bezel bracket was fixed.

Spent the afternoon watching the blue angels again.

Hello all!! Bruce, you are making all us working stiffs drool with envy! Walkin on the beach ... aahhh I can only dream : ) glad to hear all is well.

We never lost power at home luckily but I didn't have power at the office on Tue Wed and Thu so we had to cancel patients ... today we were back in business! Tgif!!
