Any Complaints (hopefully all minor)

My #1 complaint would be that there is no lever in the car, or a button on the key fob for the hatch, just that little button on the hatch.

That would be nice, plus a button on dash or door to pop open hatch.

Spoiled by a couple things from the 07 6i. No glovebox light. No auto down for passenger window. Gear indicator. Other than that..all praises

Also minor issues here:

- rather pathetic horn.
- clock sits too low.
- not overly impressed with locking the car doors when inside of the car, just seems cumbersome... my Jeep used to lock all doors once you reached over 20kmh.
- head rest too upright, better when seat reclined a bit more.

BUT really all so small compared to how much I love this car!

You can set the lock settings in the setup menu to lock automatically at 20 km/hr. I think it may have to be running but in park to get to it though under vehicle settings. Can't quite remember. Mine was set by default like that. One less complaint. :)

my issue is with the dealership where i got the car from. car sold itself and as far as dealership is concerned, they SUCK. took them 6 months to get the license plate and 7 months gone by, i still dont have my ownership doc.

Just over 2200 km and hearing a clunk somewhere in the drivers' area when going over certain bumps in the road. I don't drive hard either. This is a known issue right?

Unfortunately guys, all new cars have nearly the same headrest problems. It is a new U.S. safety standard that headrests must be closer to the head.

Might be... see attached :)

Both issues have been addressed (see PDF in regards to dates/VINs)

I did experience this issue and some sort of foam/padding was installed. Could not get the info where exactly. It did not cure the problem completely.

I found out another user that reported same issue: "Instrument panel was removed - Center bracket was missing foam padding. Factory defect."

I still experience the rattle problem, but it is different now. Per TSB my VIN and production date car should be free of described problems.

Finally got to use the heat setting today, one thing that was new to me is that when I press on Auto On it automatically turns the AC on, also Auto On will not work with modes other than the vents on the dash facing you and the ones going to the floor. Now during the winter months I like to have the heat on the windshield and floor but Auto On will not control the airflow if I put it to this setting, it has to be done manually if you have it on this mode. Also the air circulation light does not come on in this setting either. I will check with my Altima later on but I am pretty sure the auto fan and air circulation button works in all modes. Just a little observation as the weather gets cooler.

Hey Gio,
It is possible for the circulation light to be off while you have window/floor setting, because the air is not circulating.. When circulating it draws the air from the window and blows it out to the front or feet.. I've seen that happen in other cars, the light automatically turns off when you switch to window heat..

My Auto On does everything and changes it up depending on whatever voodoo it uses. It will switch from window heat/defrost to floor to mid depending on my temp setting and the outside temp. Once it makes itself happy on the defrost it will automatically switch to the floor to keep my feet warm for me. My CX-9 does the same.

Ahhh I see, thanks for the replies guys. Something new, will get used to it I'm sure.

Random rant.. another issue I have is not the CX-5 itself but these damn gas station attendants who take off the gas cap and slam it on the side of the body. I yelled at 4-5 guys already, there's a damn gas cap holder right on the lid put it there. I'd rather pump my own gas, I don't want people touching the car lol from now on I'm coming out the damn car and getting it ready for them myself, this happened again last night that's why I'm posting now.

I think there is a problem with the drivers seat in my CX5. There is slight movement in the seat track or the seat somewhere. And makes a click and you can feel it. Anyone else had this issue?

Thanks for the heads up, I haven't paid attention before - now I will.. I don't want the gas residue on the car either!! :)

Gas residue + little scratches. I'm coming out the car from now on, NJ should do like all other states and let us pump our own gas. No need for the Full Service to be honest.
