Looking for msp motor.

As it says im looking for a msp turbo motor. Mine took a crap since it has 156k on it.

you know....a motor is just the 2.0l fs-de. you can find those pretty easily. As for a turbo, You most likely will not find a motor with one attached...you could find just a turbo itself, since you have an exhaust manifold, piping, etc...does your turbo have shaft play and all that?

So its just any 01 02 03 mazda protege motor with a turbo attached?

Yes mine has shaft play.

If I go to junk yard tomorrow how do I know what one is the right one.

yeah it's any 2.0l fs-de protege motor. Unfortunately you probably wont find a turbo on one at a junkyard because as far as i know there are not many if any mazdaspeeds that have been junked. You're better off searching forums.

how much shaft play a little is normal bud your turbo might be good

Shaft play cant be measured accurately unless the turbo has run recently.

The oil will not sit on the bearing correctly..

You might misinterpret free play as an issue, when in reality it might be very normal..

Harry's you pull it man..... You are only a few miles away. Theres probably about a dozen of FSDE's in that yard out of 626's. I've gotten so many good mazda engines out of there.
