What have you done to your MSP today?

^^ that's what I thought, but who knows, could be 9.1:1 or I always thought 9.0:1 but I dono, that would make more sense then 9.5:1 which I hadn't heard of at all before today.. just like the 8.0:1 lol there's crazy talk going on!(gossip)

Well either the conditions were JUST right for the MSP or you've gone through ANOTHER WGA... and your boost gauge is lying to you.

I'm gonna go with option 1. Enjoy it bro

me too i sure hope its not wga, its not that old, not alot of miles on it and i dont really get on the car. Ill enjoy it while it lasts lol

And I done see ANY reason for 8.0:1 hahaha, that is way to low for protege's IMHO. Mainly when you wont get any of that power to the ground.

Lets not start again with the not being able to put that power to the ground, you, me and lots of people know you can really do put that power to the ground.... lol lol

**This post is super serious, im not joking and this is not sarcasm**
Im worried about my msp today I drove it and it behaved as it always has in hot weather, no tonight i drove it and the power was a shock, i barely touched the gas and it took off, the rpms at idle are a little bit below 1000 rpm, the vac is about 20. I know it gets cooler at night but other nights at this temp i have not had the responsiveness i have had tonight. Its driving like it did when I first bought it.

Im scared, is this a precursor to doom? Is my engine gonna blow? is my turbo going out? is my lsd about to snap? Has anyone prior to tragedy had great performance fromt he msp? Should I be worried?

Was your motor fully warmed up when this happened?

All you gotta do is ride around on slicks.

And yea in florida when it's cold out, the car is noticably faster.

So you installed the flywheel @ the same time as the TB port?

If so, I would venture to guess that the difference in throttle response and what you're noticing is *almost* entirely from the flywheel.

the flyweel did make a large diffrence, and that was done 3 days before my port, after the port the motor ran alot stronger and spooled even faster.

Drove the MSP to Carlisle for the first car show of 2010! Only had my camera phone but snapped a few pictures:

Not when it first happened but when it was warmed up it was still goin strong. Kinda sad we are perplexed when a car behaves as it should.

haha, ya it's funny because when I went to tune my car wed. the afrs were almost a little too lean in some areas but that thing pulled like crazy (10psi though.. I had adjusted it correctly on the ebc for once) but anyways today it is about 5-8 degrees warmer than it was when I tried to tune the car and it's running crazy rich now and hitting fuel cut! I don't get it lol, but I guess I should tune the car and then do that compress file thing on the R4 software and then reload the map, might work better.. but it's just strange lol.. who knows
