NEMOC Random BS Thread

Update: so i finally decided to go through and fix my driveway, which is causing the delay's for the garage being open on time and i cant get up it currently with any car, we will be raising the driveway 3 feet from its current level and putting in 4 new drainage pipes under it to allow water that normally would go over the driveway to go under it with no issues i hope.. once this is done it will hopefully stay level and when the contructon is done i can pave it.. cost will be around $7,000.. i was thinking it would be around $10,000 to do it so thats good.

i dropped almost $7000 into my driveway right after thanksgiving!!!!!!

parking is much better at my place now!!!!!

never did the brakes on my mom's car...they weren't as bad as we thought, and my dad didn't have the 22mm socket for the caliper bracket (all my tools are in MA since I didn't think I'd be working on cars)...pretty sore from yesterday, whoo. going to attempt to replace the cd player in my dad's van...all the wiring is done, hardest part now is getting the old one out.

oh yeah, and I'm down to the wire now, need a job asap...anyone have any leads?

mornin ya'll

are you desperate ash? if so pm me....don't have anything in your field of study, but another opportunity maybe...

Morning!! Soooooooore and wicked tired. Really contemplating taking Friday off.. I swear once I get a taste of a 4 day week, I never want to go back to a 5 day week.

Hahaha. I know that feeling well. My schedule has every other Friday off. So I'm frequently teased with short weeks, only to have a long week smacked in my face.

Does she drive a monster truck???

07 nissan altima.

it's a 14mm for the caliper bolts, but she needs new rotors too. all my dad had was a 7/8" wrench that was slipping a bit. Didn't want to strip it, and didn't have a torch/breakerbar or a socket for his impact gun.

Always Jeff. Bring some brake fluid as well.

Will do. Also thinking about getting some speed bleeders....anybody else have em, comments?

she's gonna be my mazda pal..(angel)..i've got to convince her mom that a ride around the block will be fine!

Nice and just reassure mom that it has 'four wheels (vs two)'. ;)

HAHA I need to do my DS rear also Jeff!

lol....have you got yours yet? Not sure where I'm picking mine up from.

Same here...thankfully this is my short week. :)

Thanks Tony....I was looking at them at rockauto ($85 + $85 core IIRC) and I called autozone yesterday ($85ish + $40ish core for the duralast).

I have my rears from Autozone. Rear left is starting to seize up again when I use the ebrake...going to have to replace it again soon.

it's just reman calipers. they have the lifetime warrentee, sure, but I don't want to do that every 3 months.

Hey Ashley? Out of curiosity.. how much do you figure you spend each year fixing things on your car?
