regular protege motor

jeanspeed: if you are serious about the motor then let us know what you want from us...do you want just the motor and you'll find a place to install it? or would you like assistance in installing it?

we can do either, but if you need help in installing it then you will need to let us know so I can figure out some kind of transportation to get down there to help out

yeah i been asking for the compression on the motor...... bob ask to ask u if u could do the swap but i live in apt so we cant do the swap here so i went to talk to the guy from havoc motorsport to install it for me. he gave me a good deal... all i know is that its a p5 motor.(scratch)and i also have to do my timing belt ????? how much and how long and where can i find a replace ment belt.

I don't want the guy to go checking which is the best motor until I'm ready to get it. They get mad "hi I'm an ass and going to get you to do work and then walk away and not buy anything from you, thank you" real mad... And if they do find which is the best they might sell it from under me before we're certain of a deal.

I recommended you to do the timing belt and water pump while the motor is out it's way easier 10 min job.(evil) While it's out. It's not necesary but it might save you money and time if it does start to give you issues down the road.

You really don't even need to do anything to it other than swap the fitings for the turbo.

Yep good preventive maint and might as well do T-stat and hoses as well.

local auto parts store and your rad hoses upper and lower.

You may need to get one of the hoses, i think one hose is different from the regular Protege. I'm not sure but you can take those in to an auto parts and have them match it up for you. I got a headache looking for the right fit for my car. It goes way different with the custom down pipe. The parts are all the same to a regular Protege other than that.

I know the top rad hose is dependant on if you have the full rad or the msp rad.

Is that what it is, I moved mine towards the driverside a few inches with no problem. I butchered the lower radiator hose cause it kept hiting the downpipe and swelling up. I just went to the muffler shop got a 10" piece of pipe and put it where it was hitting. No problem any more.

I do not know about the bottom rad hose to be honest.

My set up is just all messy. I centered the radiator to fit the intercooler pipes on either side of the radiator. I had to cut up that lower hose for the downpipe on the T3 to fit with the external wastegate plumbed back into the downpipe. It's very tight in the engine bay on that side.

Hey Jeanspeed, where'd you go? You ready for this deal to go through?
