not a regular protege motor but an actual speed one?

The blocks are the same... the windage tray that is between the block and oil pan is different since it is tapped for the oil lines on the turbo.

A regular protege/626/probe/mx6 is the same engine. Trust me it will save you money in the long run just to pick one of those up. For the right price i will sell the engine out of my car, then just go and get me one of the ones listed above and build it.

am i missing something here? maybe i missed some bad blood from people to him. i always thought he cleared his issues up.

no dont get me wrong im not talking down on him or anything
i guess you could say just bad luck with the motor
but everything is cleared up now

that site above is great, if you grab a 626 engine and do a small amount of work you will end up with the same end product and save 100's
