What have you done to your P5 today?

this is why im scared to do blacked out headlights myself (boom01)

Don't be skeered....my original set that I painted was fine, I sold them to a guy in Canada for cheap since the one was broke (housings were used for a retrofit anyway) and I bought this pair used from another member. Up until now they have held up just fine.

Now I have an excuse to crack them open, sand 'em down and re-paint satin black. :)

insides of ma new ones are metalic black fiberglass with a satin black plastic. Shall be purdy

Drove it to work and home. Took some turns too fast on snow tires. Makes for an interesting commute.

I ran by the mechanic, and after checking the oil and him peeking in the coolant overflow, i aparently did not see what he saw.

He immediately told me it is a headgasket. My oil is VERY watery. The coolant, while not oily, said it is brown from the oil, not as much the rust

So, i'm gonna leave it with him tomorrow and he is gonna run a leak test to see if it's confirmed. Then, hopefully the warranty company doesn't pitch a fit.

While it's up, i'm gonna have em check the endlinks as well. CLicking and popping sucks

today got my thermostat, and coolant flush done, car is up and running which is a +, to top it all off, i got a Escort 8500 X50 Red baby that things a charm :D

Hid P5 from the snow!................In early Dec in TX 20 miles from the beach. Then went mt bikin at night in snow, with lights of course. New take on trail ridin at night. Ridin trails at night not new but usually doesn't involve snow. Krusty cool action.

i dropped the car off with the mechanic to do a leakdown test and check endlinks.

Waiting on his phone call.

Rode my bike in from the mechanic

Texas has snow...

Heh, sucks to be you! Of course, I'm so used to it that it doesn't phase me the least bit.

I don't mind riding the bike. But, 13 miles on mud knobbies is no gonn be the best. Oh well.

When i hear from the mechanic, if he can't finish today, i'll hopefully be getting a rental

It would suck MUCH worse to ride 13 miles of mud with road bike tires. Count your blessings & jump some stuff, chase stray animals, rut up some flower beds, make it fun.....not that I would do anything like that of course. Beats the **** outta walkin so enjoy..............

I have no issues with riding on off road tires. To be honest, it's all I've ever done, except for when I ran the old road bike for a few months.

I was on a road bike on the cement, and, well, there is NO comparison. I feel like i'm slushing along. My new tire is more knobby than they old one was, after melting it with the exhaust. lol

And, i would root it up, but, 12 of the 13 miles is all on main roadways, so, nothing to root up. It really is a boring ride. i go for about 9 miles totally straight, i make a right, go 3 miles perfectly straight, then, make another right and 2 lefts. The roads dont' curve or anything.

But, yeah, it SHOULD all be covered under warranty. 2 year warranty purchased last year with the car.

I was just mentioning the cost since I saw you mention "they should cover it" and so that they let you know before hand instead of "you're cars finished...oh and it wasn't covered under warrenty and the bill is $500"!?

He will call me if it isn't under warranty. He is cool like that. He calls me with whatever he finds out and before he does anything.

Warranty already covered when the front of my motor cracked for no reason, as well as pay for one out of the 4 hours it took to install rear motor mount
