What have you done to your MSP today?

I wasn't aware of a how-to for the wga

well maybe there isnt lol and you would be on that def. would know lol.

im looking at the list of stuff thats in the how to and then i look and your the one that made the sweet thread with all the links to how-to's lol, im surprised there isnt one.

Read the whole thread though. I think Alejo took apart half the engine bay, when really you need to remove the hotpipe at best.

yea not sure why he says to remove the j-pipe

heres a tip however:
if you do loose the clip for the wastegate, not fret...its easy to loose and I'd be surprised if you didn't loose it lol....when you reinstall the wastegate you CAN run it without that clip, however I wouldn't run it for long like that...if it's your daily driver, you can throw the new wastegate on without the clip and drive yourself to autozone to get a replacement clip to install...they sell them there as a 'value multi pack' or something

lol thanks but that doesnt mean that I got all of them. I'm sure I missed a few here and their that weren't in the how-to section. Yes I literally added everyone in the how-to section. You can only imagine how long that took to do.

Thanks

Edit: Added to how-to quick list and Admin pm'ed to move the thread to the how-to section.

Will do.

do your own how to then and see how long it takes you

I may if i think about it and if I can find my cam. lol

I'm thinking of doing it simallar to how I did the exhuast gasket replacement. Oh and before i start invest into one of these bad boys.

Yes i lost my stupid wrench 900 times when doing the exhuast gasket. lol

1)Take the hot pipe off.
2) remove heat sheild
3) remove all bolts into the head on the exhuast mani adn EGR nut
4) remove plastic on the bottom of the car.
5) loosen the bracket that holds the turbo and dp to the block
6) loosen the j-pipe from the bracket that secures to the bottom of the car
7) go from their.

Edit: After reading the provided how-to link it appears that steps 3-6 arn't needed but i still might do it for extra room so we will see.

Sold my MSP today:( after I just got her into good shape too, sold my truck of almost four years... Kinda like getting a divorce...

Got sick of taking care of 3 vehicles; Maintenance, payments, insurance, and even registration were milking me. My truck only got 13mpg, and had a lot of miles, even though the car got about 30mpg, the extra insurance and everything wasn't worth it. I was looking at an STi but, it didn't work out and isn't practical as I live on a farm. Anyway I sold em and bought a 1 ton truck that gets almost 20mpg, hauls ass, and big loads. should save me at least $150 a month(thumb)

What kind of truck? my f150 gets 18mpg in town if i baby it.

finally fixed my boost leak, turned out my egr line threads were jacked up on the manifold side of the egr tube and as a result the line wasn't able to be tightened down all the way which caused a massive boost leak

fixed ALL of my issues, I haven't been this happy with my car for MONTHS (years almost?)...its amazing to finally have solid boost again, especially on the t3...w00t!

also (hence the 6 am post lol) literally just finished installing the turbolife fmic....awesome part!

w00t!

My old truck was an F-150, I used to get around 15 mostly country driving, I was down to 13 though. The new truck is a 03 Dodge Ram 3500srw, with a Cummins and a 5spd, crew cab short bed Laramie. Fully loaded with stuff I didn't know you could get in trucks. I was thinking I wanted an 05 (I don't like the 06-current) but this truck is pretty much spotless, and a unicorn...

she got a wash today!! The block (city street) is getting resurfaced so I kinda let it build up. It was pointless to wash it then have it full of dust 10 minutes later. I'll be keeping her in the alley for the rest of the day. LOL.
