Huge scratch in door... No note left

Gotta love it....

I come out yesterday to the parking lot, and someone must have parked, slammed my door and then drove away.

I don't have pictures, but it is clearly from a door edge. There are about 10-12 scratches that are horizonal (obviously), about 1/2 inch long, and about 5 inches tall. (For all of them.)

They are deep too! Touch up paint is not going to make this look right.

Ha! I am... but I seriously doubt that it was a student. No... More than likely someone who figured they would just avoid an insurance issue. Probably either really young or really old. A young person might just be afraid of dealing with it, an older person might not even have noticed. (or cared)

I backed into a Rav 4 about 6-7 weeks ago, and even though there was no damage to the Toyota, I searched an entire strip mall to find the guy and tell him what happened.

****, I know what you mean. I have countless door dings from stupid asshats, and a a large amount of horizontal scratches on the corner of my bumper and rear corner panel from where someone scratched it up backing out and fleeing. At least there isn't any body damage, just paint. Hows the panel on yours?
