2012 Mazda5 Traction control faults out in slippery conditions with no OBDII codes

When playing around in slippery conditions (as we have during winter), after significant wheel slip the traction control, ABS and parking brakes lights will illuminate and the ABS and traction control are disabled.
I've scanned the car while in this condition and there are no codes.
The error is reset by turning the car off and then on

Playing around? 🤔

Are you doing handbrake turns? I'll get the same efect when playing in winter and forget to turn off the dsc before playing. 😅

If that, it's normal because the car won't understand the situation how the rear wheels are locked without aplying the brake..

I would understand if that was it, but this repeatable error is induced with the gas pedal in deep snow or on ice; simple straight line stuff

I tested this more today:
1. Traction control doesn’t seem to intervene, but only occasionally faults out
2. ABS works 9 out of 10 times, but I also got ABS to turn on the ABS / traction / parking brake lights

Still no codes using a generic obd reader, what is the recommended DIY reader for Mazda?
