Well, more updates: SHE LIVES! Tonight I took Dory for a ride to bed in the brakes and do a quick break in on the clutch. Current impressions... the car feels AWESOME! I've never driven something with this much spring, and it's a whole new sensation. I took an on ramp at what I thought was a decent clip, and there was about no body roll. It was really weird, but totally awesome. The suspension is currently a WAG in terms of ride heights and shock settings, so I'll be waiting on a corner balance, and it REALLY needs an alignment. The steering wheel's a bit crooked and it doesn't exactly track straight. Only a few minor (I hope lol) issues revealed themselves tonight.
1. I was getting a loud squeal from the front right. Pushed the dust shield back at a gas station and the noise went away. For the record: brakes get HOT! I stuck my hand b/w the spokes of the wheel to push it. When it moved, my hand dropped just enough to burn my wrist on the rotor. And bash my hand on the spokes of the wheel as I yanked it out of there LOL. I'm retarded.
2. Old gas sucks. It had a really bad hesitation on throttle tip in. It was pretty much on fumes. I put a half tank in and any hesitation went away. It also felt a lot stronger.
3. This is the only thing that kinda worries me. The shifter feels kind of spongy going in to second, fourth and reverse. I'm going to take that apart tomorrow and have a look. Hopefully my stupid ass got sloppy when I put the shifter in and the bushing's not seated properly or something. I REALLY don't want to pull the transmission again. I mean, it's driveable, you just have to be very conscious of putting a little extra oomph into the 1-2 and 3-4 shifts.
