Sunglasses

I really want to get some Oakleys, but I need prescription sunglasses. Getting a presciption from Oakley is prety expensive.

Oakley's are cool and all that s***. And worth the money for the lenses but for me, I usually lose em or sit on em or break em before 6 months so I just buy a nice set of $20 glasses since I know they'll be gone in a while anyways. But those glass's you have there definately look cool. I think I like the #11 color with the gray on gray. Looks sharp.

aha, same thing happens to my sunglasses. guess where i shop? dollar store.

I've had my REVOs for over 8 years now. Never had a scratch on them. Excellent glasses, and great for driving and boating. Polarized lenses are amazing. I do have some cheaper glasses, Oakleys and such, but mainly for motorcycle riding. The Oakleys are better for keeping the wind out of your eyes while riding.
I don't lose my sunglasses though. I guess there are things I'm just anal about that others aren't. :)

Yeah stringer that is what I used to use my Eyejackets for , was riding motorcycles. Only ones I found that fit well under my helmet and kept the wind out.

As far as prescription sunglasses. Oakley prescription glasses aren't that bad. Actually have a friend that has some square wires as his normal RX glasses. They are really nice. But seriously they aren't really any more expensive than going to an eye doctor. Now if what you usually get at the eye doctor are the 49.99 Prescription and 2 pair of glasses deal then yes Oakleys will be expensive

Now Sleeper, I know that you can get ear socks, nose pieces but I am not sure about lenses. I would just call and talk to Oakley, they have great customer service. BTW I think that the gold iridium is one of the best lenses on the market today(thats what comes in the T wire)

Interesting. To me they are just sunglasses. I mean I go through sunglasses and watches like I go through underwear. But I guess you got your money worth if you had them for so long. I don't possibly see how I could have them for so long and not do something with them

I'll just have to stop by the sunglass hut to see what the lenses look like in person. I think I like ruby still.

I think oakley's look the best, and that's what shades are all about...style...and of course the whole uv protection thing...*cough*......

lol, I was just about to thread jack, DooMer.

I spend my money on the car. :)

I kid. But seriously, man, I guess it's just like any other habit. I dont even own a pair of sunglasses, havent since high school. The closest I've come is a pair of Ray Bans that literally ONLY filter light, not block it, for clarity while on the track. And those arent even mine, I borrow them from an uncle, an SCCA driver when I hit the track.

I cant stand the feeling of having my vision limited, even if by a $250 scientifically engineered pair of superglasses.

There is, of course, no rational basis to what I just said (nor anything else I say). It does look kind of funny to me to see you guys throwing out model names of sunglasses like other folks talk about headers and tires.

I wear sunglasses mainly in the summer. I like wearing them, but I break them all the time. I sit on them and drop them. I can't imagine dropping $200 for a pair, so I buy cheapo ones and am happy if they last for a half a year.

I needed them today though man. 6" snow and bright sun. Could barely keep my eyes open driving to work..

Chris
