reset the ECU by unplugging the battery for like 10 minutes (or pump the brakes a bunch of times and it will drain the power enough to drain the ecu)...If the CEL comes back on after it goes through the drive cycle (several hundred miles) then you have another problem other than the sensor...you didnt put the MAF on backward did you? (I cant see the pics because my computer sucks balls)OR go to Autozone and have them read the code with a code-reader....they do it for freeor buy your own code reader....they are like 70 bucks and it was one of the best things I ever bought for the car...you can read your codes and clear CELs without having to unplug your battery

you should be able to just put it all the way in the filter and tighten the clamp over the wires...it will just hang in there and flop around...

personally I have seen people just cut a small hole in the black part of the filter and stick it in there.

It doesnt really have to be in the filter you know....all it is is a glorified thermometer. You can mount it anywhere that is close to the filter and youll get an accurate reading.

Hell before I had my injen I mounted mine with zip ties in my wheel well thinking that it would read a little cooler and therefore perform like a cold air intake (that was before I knew better...but still it ran like normal)

well mines just hanging on the side next to the filter lol..no lights are on and everything seems to be running normal. im liking the sound of the intake. i just cant really hear because of the leak i got in my exhaust. cant wait to fix it next week..

kewl good luck...I have an exhaust leak too, but I am just waiting until I upgrade to a GHL exhaust to deal with it...One of my J-pipe bolts is ******...plus I think my exhaust manifold is leaking too....but I am getting a Steedspeed manifold to replace it.

i hate the sound the leak makes..im gunna fix that leak and then hopefully this summer i wanna get a full exhaust system. its gunna be tight

Oh you still have the stock exhaust and hear a leak? you might have to get n exhaust sooner than you think! I had the same problem when I first bought the car and then the mid-pipe broke and it was like running a wide-open exhaust! It was loud as hell! Anyways that is a common problem with our car because the motor mounts are garbage and they break very easily...Mine were shredded within 25000 miles. The engine rocks back and forth a lot when they break causing the exhaust to snap...You should upgrade to better motor mounts when you have the money....they were one of the best upgrades I ever did for this car...it eliminates shift-lash and protects your exhaust (especially aftermarket)

ok cool..ill look into those motor mounts. can i buy them from any store or do i have to order them? and how much will it cost to get them changed if i dont do it myself?

protegegarage.com has everything you need, do research on this kinda stuff man, tuning cars are not games but you need to search some stuff for yourself, we don't mind helping but all these questions you ask have all been asked a million times before

yeah there is a lot of stuff that you can find by searching before just starting a thread...If you type AWR and search you'll find a lot of good info on those mounts.
