ww kit on p5

THe WW bumper comes with impressions in the urethane to tell you where to drill holes - all I did was drill small holes there and stuck it on the front of the car, the first thing I screwed down was the top two screws that hold the top grill in - and of course hold on the front fascia. Since this allowed me to center the bumper, I was able to go to work making the rest fit. With everything predrilled on the bumper, I just tacked on everything -
1. Top two screws on the top grill
2. bottom two bolts under the front of the car
3. two screws that go up into the fender on each side. four total.
really I think that is all the screws. The only problems I had was the sides - when screwed down, the sides weren't far enough apart, so after forcing the bumper to fit, it caused a bend in the urethane under the headlights, so I just unscrewed the sides again, and drilled holes up into the fenders a little farther back than the stock ones. And....tada.
Also, as some guy posted about his kit on a protege sedan, just like my car, the little black plastic fender well cover things held in by black plastic rivots, didn't fit when done. Not sure what they did on the Wingswest MP3, but I just cut back the plastic so they don't flop down. I was able to screw the plastic in the fender wells, but where the underside of the bumper there is no black plastic bottom - you can see right up into the thing. I like this actualy so I can adjust stuff under it, like lights and intake.
I'm getting it painted as we speak but it is taking a while, so I'll have pics up hopefully near the end of the week. I'll take pictures of the areas I'm talking about where the screws go in, and how the fenderwells look.

I plan on getting the erebuni rear bumper, it's the same as mint blue only a lot cheaper and not so hard to get.

the fogligths I bought on the side, didn't come with the kit - they are PIAA 520 series foglights (crystal ion yellow light),
The graphics I got rid of, that's why I had them as stickers and not painted on - so I could change my mind. Oh and actualy I haven't answered that in a previous post =)

yes the passenger side sticks out a little - but I just fixed that.
When you install the bumper - take off all the styrofoam absorbers attached to the metal reinforcement bars. Also, there are little black brackets on top of each end of the reinforcement bar between the bar and each headlight - they are screwed in with two bolts each, remove these brackets (this is what made my bumper stick out on the sides.
Total cost to me was 415 for the bumper, 105 for painting and 42 for clearcoat.
that's 562 total.
installation would have cost about 70.00 more but I did it.

I am so jealous of you Equinox! Damn Nice Ride (thumb)
I would say that is so far the best looking P5 I have seen. Very clean, no front nasty orange side marker, perfect tint for the color of car, just very nicely done. Keep the rest of your mods just as classy and clean, maybe start with more power now

BTW...Removing the graphics was the right move IMHO.

well you can only please some of the people some of the time.
Yeha the graphics - people eitehr hated em or loved em, this new way I've gone people just all kinda like em.
As for speed, it will seem like I have nothing for a while cause I'm saving for a spoolin!
But yeah next is rims, then coilovers, then turbo
Speaking of rims, any MP3 wanna sell their stock rims and tires? hah!
