K, so I get off work go out to my car. I start that car and wait, then as I'm reversing I hear a small clunking noise. I figure its nothing then I continue driving and notice it again.

This only happens when I'm about to let off of the clutch when switching gears. In all gears ... I'm so ******* paranoid.

Any ideas on what the noise is, it sounds like its coming from under my hood.

when did you install the motor mount? is it loose at all? Mine made that type of sound when i didnt tighten the bolt to specs. May need to check that.

I did check the MM, I thought that was the problem too. No go ... still makes the noise.

I'm going to take it to the dealer tomorrow and see whats up, but I have a feeling they just suck at what they do so I want to see if I can fix it myself.

My car does the same thing. Its the CV joints. They click when the driveshafts engage to the wheels through the differential. I had an old 86 Jetta with a limited slip diff and it did the same click. If you listen real careful like, you'll hear it on both sides, one after another. I have a narrow driveway between two houses so everything is amplified, I can hear it real goodlike.

Upon further inspection it was my MM, I feel dumb ... lol

I got super paranoid super fast, I thought someone tried to brake into my car and ****** something up lol ....

Btw, did you (or anyone reading this) not lock-tight when they put there mount or inserts in? I couldn't find the tight, but still torqued to 80ft/lbs. Do I have to go back in there??

I wish I would have gotten a longer horizontal screw and put another bolt on the end of my trz, the bolt on the end was very crappy and I'm hoping it will hold up over time.
