will do.. yeah I dunno where my digicam went, I think it might be in my car somewhere.. or in the garage. I need to photodocument the install of my SLS Performance front motor mount tomorrow afternoon... when I do that I'll take a pic of my parts pile as it stands before the orders I placed today.

god I love Boostcontroller.com :)

unless you're looking to get rid of it "on the cheap" I'm probably not too interested. the MSP clutch would probably hold up to my power goals but I'm not even sure. I know at stock boost I'll be putting out a decent amount more power than the MSP just due to other mods on my car. Exedy stage 1 is only ~350, and should hold more than I'll ever need.

thanks though!

chris, never really thought about this (auto tranny) how good a tune is the stock msp ecu? what i did hear was it ran super rich???

Yeah the MSP ECU isn't a great tune, but it'll get me up and running. I don't see why I can't make 160whp-180whp on the stock ECU with my other mods (just 10-30whp over stock MSP). I never planned on the MSP ECU being my final solution, but it was 250 dollars on ProtegeGarage.com vs. like 1100+ wiring hell for a microtech.. it'll work, for now :)

wired and installed my boost gauge, egt gauge, and oil temp gauge. The senders are in place in the engine bay, but of course there is no boost, I'm not mounting my egt in my N/A header, and I have to work the oil temp gauge into my new oil lines still.. so the gauges aren't functional and will be left off.

Currently, I have it wired so that they are white when the lights are off, and amber when the lights are on. If you don't instruct them to be white or amber, they are a nice red which perfectly matches the stock gauge lights, but it isn't really that easy to switch from white/amber back to red. It's a bit complicated.

Pics added to the page linked to from my above post.

How do you like those guages? I *Almost* ditched my autometer nexus gauges for these!!! I got tired of spending $200+ per gauge (I'm on number 4 now, not including my AEM wideband!)

Anywho, how is the quality of them? I am interested to see how acurate they are once you get everything hooked up. They have gotten great reviews by several people on the subbie forums....

yeah I dunno, they seem fine so far. I don't know how much I'll be able to tell you about accuracy though.. but I will be able to tell you if they work or not in general haha.

They actually released a new version with peak/hold/record all that jazz

chris, it would be great if you could hook up the wideband...i'd love to see how the stock ecu responds air/fuel wise...u still have the mp3 ecu?

No, sold it to aMaff :'(

aaaand I just breached $2500 dollars.. this is the home stretch! As soon as bagman1 gets back to me to confirm the total and give me his paypal info, I think the only thing I still need to get up and running is oil lines and coolant lines. I still need to check and figure out how the MSP routed it's coolant lines, where it T-ed it and where it fed it back and crap. Then I need to determine how long the oil drain line is going to be.. it doesn't look like it'll be very long, maybe someone with an MSP who has upgraded to stainless steel braided lines will know.

If I lived closer, I would give you a hand with the install!

Concerning the water lines, I will see if I can take a pic for you when I get out of work. There is a pretty simple way to do it... The old (not the current) directions from the hiboost turbo kit showed an easy way to route the water lines... I did a lot of research on this when I had my MP3 and planned on turbo'ing that :)
