Just looking for a gauge cluster out of a 01+ Protege that displays Km/H as the primary measure of speed. Not sure, but I think the odometer reading follows the ECU, not the gauge. If not, it should have 100K or less on it (if it is from a junkyard, I know you would not be able to tell, and that is OK).

I would still like to retain amber backlighting, but I am not worried about it because I think this is as simple as a bulb swap. Also, ideally, it would have either white or silver faces. Not sure what the CDN models had?

If you have one or know of one, please PM me or post a picture here. I cannot get this in the States! Cheers!

Sorry the Odometer doesnt follow the ECU , it is stored in the gauge , I know I swapped mine out for a different one and the Odo was what was on the cluster .

macklum,
Thanks! That is great to know. I wonder if a dealership could reprogram it for me, provided I show them the original. Anyway, thanks for the info!

I was told they couldn't but they may have not wanted to do it . I just kept track of the differance between the 2 clusters and add or subtract as needed . you could alway take apic of the ODO before and after and keep it with the car

Just swap the gauge faces and leave the odometer. There is a how-to somewhere here on the forums. I swapped out my standard P5 cluster for an MSP one and retained my odometer. It isn't hard at all - just need to be careful.
