Work Meister On MSP (56K Just Don't)

i first off want to say that those are prolly behind mugen m7's my fav. wheels! but they just dont flow i can't put my finger on it? i think it may be the fact that IMO they are meant for rear wheel drive cars with crazy offsets, or that your car is not slammed enough? i dont know but the wheels just dont flow they dont look bad but they dont do justice to themselves on you car. i love msps dont get me wrong but meisters are just not meant for 4 door mazda protege's i guess. i feel the same way about my freinds ek hatchback he has white with a polished lip sp1's i like them alot better than i do on your car but i think just cause his car is dumped like whoa and he has a 2 door... im sorry if my way of thinking is rediculous i am just really meticulously picky about cars with nice s*** like that. but you def. win the best wheels on this whole site award and the most money spent on a non forged wheel award as well those things are so damn pricey! love your car and def. love the wheels just not together.

I see, I see. I don't think you are being ridiculous at all. We are all entitled to our opinions and I appreciate you sharing yours with me. Obviously I don't agree with you or I wouldn't have spent that much on these wheels. lol.

But yes, I can definitely see how one would develop a bias towards these wheels being on RWD cars with low or negative offsets (a whole lotta lip). And because of that feel that they don't belong on a FWD car. In fact another factor that probably throws off the look to you is the size of the wheel face. Most FWD cars with this design of wheel (Meister or Professor) tend to go with a much smaller rim or the three piece design which only has a 17" max. face. So the looks we become used to are very different than mine. When I was looking for inspiration for wheels I fell in love with these on WRX's and Evo's. Thus a very similiar look to my car since those cars are based off of a FWD chassis and don't have much in the way of room for low offset wheels. However, you see a lot more RWD cars with these wheels than any other.

In short, I think your opinion is quite understandable as is mine. We all have different tastes, especially when it comes to our cars. Once again I greatly appreciate you sharing the logic behind your opinion. I just hope the judges at future car shows don't share yours. lol.

Only thing I have to say you are wrong about is your comment about most money spent for non-forged wheels. Both the 2-piece and 3-piece Work Meisters S1's are forged. (These weigh in at a hair under 19 pds. a piece.) The Nezart Spoke 2 is the close cousin to these wheels that are cast.

Thanks again,

Lang

happy halloween!!!

just playin....very clean, very nice....(if you put an airplane size spoiler on there i'll be forced to fill your gas tank and top your oil off with bleach)

Not gonna happen. Never, ever, never! The only spoiler this car may see is the tiny lip spoiler off of the BMW M3 E46 sedan. Only thing is I would prefer to get one made of CF and have not yet been able to find one.

im not trying to start an argument i know they are light for what they are but i know for sure they arent forged... ssr professors are but not meisters 2 or 3 piece they are cast...

No worries, It seems I was talking out of my ass again. This is one of those "I could of sworn I heard from this one guy..." situations. Upon researching my claim it appears that as you have pointed out only the 1-piece was forged. I apologize for arguing without doing proper research. Ownage point for you. In my own thread no less. lol.

Edit: You were pointing out the S2R's. I also found some rare listings for the forged Meister S1 1-piece wheels. Very similiar design to the forged Emotions except obviously with the Meister S1 style face.

Those wheels look like s*** on that green Civic. White wheels always look terrible unless they are TypeR wheels on a real Champ White TypeR.

Thanks. I'm very impressed with the Carbon-TI's ability to actually do the job that a muffler is supposed to do. When I had it installed the shop had no resonators with a 3" flow in stock. So I had them go ahead and do the work with the idea that I would have on added in later. But, the HKS keeps the sound so deep that a resonator really isn't needed.

I used to have a S/S JIC Bullet cat-back. I loved the craftsmanship of it, but the drone on it was much louder than this and I figured it was only a matter of time until I was gonna see flashing lights in my rear-view mirror.

Open cat-back on a WRX, I can only imagine that has quite a growl to it. lol.

dude haha i have to post some video that we took i have flames constantly shooting from under the car because it only comes to about just past the drivers seat haha its so damn loud with no cats and a 3 inch downpipe and 2 1/2 upipe crazy is all i can say!

yeah i miss my HKS alot it was the best exhaust i have ever owned to date very awesome quality and i got a hook up from a local guy brand new carbon-ti for 400 bucks haha thats less than half the regular price and then sold it used for 800 haha!

Hell yeah, post those vids up and shoot me the link. I'd love to see that. This got me to thinking and I'm currently going through some of my old vids of when I had the JIC on. I can only imagine how loud she would be if I still had that exhaust with the MAM mani and the GHL DP in front of it.

unbolt your current exhuast from the downpipe and take some video i bet it would sound pretty rad...i will def. post those up as soon as he gets back from chicago for everyone here to see they are funny...

I'll have to do that. The exhaust needs to be pulled off so I can get an extra O2 sensor bung welded on anyhow. Maybe, I'll be able to do it tomorrow. Neighbors are gonna love that one. lol.

haha i hear that! my neighbors have threatend to sue me if i dont get it fixed! the neighbor lady next door to me freaked out about a week ago and started cursing and said that she hates waking up to the sound of a helicopter every morning hahahahahaha! i couldnt help but laugh... hopefully soon i will have exhaust though i am getting sick of cranking my stereo to max and barely still hearing it.
