kylenls said:i first off want to say that those are prolly behind mugen m7's my fav. wheels! but they just dont flow i can't put my finger on it? i think it may be the fact that IMO they are meant for rear wheel drive cars with crazy offsets, or that your car is not slammed enough? i dont know but the wheels just dont flow they dont look bad but they dont do justice to themselves on you car. i love msps dont get me wrong but meisters are just not meant for 4 door mazda protege's i guess. i feel the same way about my freinds ek hatchback he has white with a polished lip sp1's i like them alot better than i do on your car but i think just cause his car is dumped like whoa and he has a 2 door... im sorry if my way of thinking is rediculous i am just really meticulously picky about cars with nice s*** like that. but you def. win the best wheels on this whole site award and the most money spent on a non forged wheel award as well those things are so damn pricey! love your car and def. love the wheels just not together.
I see, I see. I don't think you are being ridiculous at all. We are all entitled to our opinions and I appreciate you sharing yours with me. Obviously I don't agree with you or I wouldn't have spent that much on these wheels. lol.
But yes, I can definitely see how one would develop a bias towards these wheels being on RWD cars with low or negative offsets (a whole lotta lip). And because of that feel that they don't belong on a FWD car. In fact another factor that probably throws off the look to you is the size of the wheel face. Most FWD cars with this design of wheel (Meister or Professor) tend to go with a much smaller rim or the three piece design which only has a 17" max. face. So the looks we become used to are very different than mine. When I was looking for inspiration for wheels I fell in love with these on WRX's and Evo's. Thus a very similiar look to my car since those cars are based off of a FWD chassis and don't have much in the way of room for low offset wheels. However, you see a lot more RWD cars with these wheels than any other.
In short, I think your opinion is quite understandable as is mine. We all have different tastes, especially when it comes to our cars. Once again I greatly appreciate you sharing the logic behind your opinion. I just hope the judges at future car shows don't share yours. lol.
Only thing I have to say you are wrong about is your comment about most money spent for non-forged wheels. Both the 2-piece and 3-piece Work Meisters S1's are forged. (These weigh in at a hair under 19 pds. a piece.) The Nezart Spoke 2 is the close cousin to these wheels that are cast.
Thanks again,
