Winter Journal

Hell yeah roy I just registered today. Also did a bit more work. Brakes will be done after the next autocross. For now the clutch is working again and holy pedal feel. This thing is way better than it was before. So some pics

out with the old and in with the new. I don't have to clean this so that's also a plus

Right off the bat I noticed that the pleats went perpendicular to the direction of the oem filter. I'm sure this is better for air flow

and it's all back together again looking a little sharper and running a little bit better.

Thanks this project was a real sweater with a loose string. As soon as I cleaned one area it made the one right next to it look twice as bad. I did had to stop somewhere though.

So car is running and won't be back in for work until after the 25th now I'm working on an old side project I started long ago. It's a common mod for FC owners to run mustang wheels on their cars. Most prefer the 17" 99-05 5 spoke mustang GT wheels. I went for the 16" 93-97 GT mustang wheels. I picked 'em up a long time ago and went crazy on them but put them up in my drop down attic for a long time. Below is what they looked like just picked up. I had six to choose from but it was still very hard to find the best ones because they all sucked so much. There was a lot of body work to do to fill the dents, chips, and scratches. I wet sanded and primered them and that was as far as I went before I went out seeking some convertible wheels.

Cleaned and organized the garage.

A shot of the wheels in various levels of prep. The Satin Black one is the final color and needing
only another coat and a polishing. Other two are primered awaiting a wetsanding. Last has
been wetsanded and bondo yet to be shaved off.

16x7 I'm pretty sure. I'm not even gonna try to run 245's up front. I'll stick with 225F 245R so I know I won't have rubbing

Not completely sure. Either way a 225 would be fine for me in the rear. It's not like I have a turbo and need every bit of width

Just arrived from www.rallylights.com my new Ecode headlights. These things are much much better than the sealed beam. They use an H4. I opted for the 55W Low/65W High so I don't overload my wire harness. I've got way more light output.

Wow!!!! Those wheels turned out sweet.
Thanks, They look really good from one or more feet away. If you get up close you can see some small runs but only one wheel came out exactly the way it should have with no defects
