Hey, I want to see if a P5 Front bumper will fit on my 2k2 DX.. I might just be the only person who has it...*hint*..it looks like they should fit right up..being the same front clip and all...any thoughts...or for that matter..where could i get one w/ foglights?

Ummm it won't just bolt right up. There will be fitment problems. The fender wells won't fit, and you'll need a new reinforcememnt bar that goes behind the bumper.
Oh yeah, and you'll probably want the MP3 front bumper unless you're going to tap wires, and hook up the sidemarkers.

hmm..dont know..i suppose i could do the 2k3.5 MSP front bumper..but both the protege sedan and the P5 have identical front clips..i really can't forsee this being that big of a problem

The clips may be the same, but the bumpers are different dimensions. I've heard that the grill is even an inch or so shorter.
serach for stuff about this, there are lots of threads about it. I was going to do it until i realized how much it would cost me.

Cool, let me know how it goes alright? if it works out well maybe i can look into doing it :D

I'm sorry let me be more elaberate.. its late and my brain aint working on all cylinders.

You will need to change these things so that a p5/mp3/MSP bumper
to fit:

left/right wheel wells
reinforcement bar
both upper and lower grills
fog lights
side markers (p5 bumper only)

And all these parts just bolt in. No fabrication necessary. Now
if you go cheap on the fog lights. (like I did) you won't get oem
fog lights.. you'll get piaa lights or some other 4-6inch lights and
then you will have to fab up some brackets and wiring.

Hope that helps and sorry for being vaige (sp.)

hehe, glad you saw the light... I think you might still have fitment problems with a MSP bumer too... I would just go get the wings west kit for the non-MP3 it should fit ours.

I don't see how you would. Its basically the same as an mp3
and I had no problems what so ever. And I've seen the wings
west bumper on a silver sedan (can't remember right now who's
it was) and the bumper didn't seat well around the lights, but
i'm not 100% sure on that. since I haven't tried to install the
WW version. Again I hope that helps

I've seen that car too, but i thought he was retrofitting the bumper for the MP3 to his car, and thats why it didn't seat quite right around the lights. WW does make a kit specifically for the sedans though.

Yea I wanted to do the MP3 front bumper, then the Mp3 side skirts and rear skirts..I already knew i had to replace the grills and foglights..that was kind of a no brainerr

Alright..What would I need to make P5 front bumper fit my car..I have the bumper and fog lights on the way..need to know how to make it fit..

If you get the bumper it will look better with the mp3/msp side skirts. if not the "chin" on the car looks too low.
just a suggestion...:)

You're exactly right. The first part I put on was the front fascia. It looked funny as hell because it hung so much lower than the rest of the car. Once you put the side sills on you'll notice the same thing about the rear bumper; it looks funny with the side skirts.
My advise(depending on your funds)would be to do the whole thing at once. Also, as long as you're going to have the paint mixed up already, it makes a huge difference when you paint the trim piece above upper grille. This will only work if you have a new DX because they are black and paintable. The chrome ones aren't paintable. I'd also paint your door handles and mirrors being that the DX ones are black.
Just my opinion.
