Wierd noise

Although I have only driven my MSP back from the dealer to my driveway...I did notice a odd noise when shifting at around 3500 rpm, sound like a burst sort of a metal door closing...is the the blow off valve maybe...since the turbo spools up and then I drop the rpm when I change gears ?

ya, most likely the BOV. Esp when you are pushing it hard, then shift. Yup!

Oh the shame.

I was driving home from the Dealer when I heard that same strange noise. I said WTF is that noise? Man dont tell me something is allready broken! And then that little voice I hear every now and again kinda said,"Hey tard its the blowoff valve."
I turned my head towards the backseat and told my 9 yr old daughter, "Oh yeah thanks kido"

Sounds like when you were trying to record cassette tapes at high speed back in the day (and there was laughing on the tape)
