Who gots the most WHP N/A Protege?

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this or not, but searching is a biatch if you tried a topic like this.. so here it goes. If you are N/A whats the biggest gains you've achived along with a list of parts.

136.05 whp
141.22 Torque

Run Conditions: 96.23 F Humidity: 51% SAE: 1.11


I'm going to get another dyno run since its in the 60's and my engine was hot during that run from running around that day. Hopefully i'll see some better results.
 
Well.. i used that phrase when I had my cam gears adjusted for max HP. :)


EDIT: I actually got 9whp out of them and lost 4 torque. I think i'd see better gains if I had a EMS with bigger fuel injectors.

What are they adjusted to? Meaning where did you find the best numbers with them.
 
Damn dude i knew that would come up.. i know right now its set to retard but now sure how far, For some reason it likes it that way. I had some friends with me at the time and didn't think of writing it down. Now i'm eating it up since its getting colder and they need to be readjusted. When I go again ( hopefully soon ) i'll get all specs.

yup with 18/45/225 tires.. i actually thought it was bad. I was pissed. I guess i over estimated what I thought it would achive. I didn't know the little beast only put 104 to the wheels. At least thats what i read on protegegarage.com.

But the worst part is my clutch started to slip in 3rd on the last run :(

Now i have 18/35/215.. i don't know if it would make a difference but we'll see.
 
I believe that makes you the most powerful N/A Protege on the forums as far as I know. I believe that TwilightProtege had the highest before with 127, but you still need a dyno chart to show some official results.
 
The thing is, very few people have really gone the whole 9 yards N/A. Hence, few people with big numbers.
 
I did 126whp on a Mustang Dyno which should put me close to your #s on the Dynojet. Stock cams and gears, 4-2-1 header, hi-flo cat, head porting, CAI, Fidanza flywheel, RR UDP, A/C delete, MP3 ECU. I'm having a hard time believing you made that much power without doing a little grinding on the intake ports. if that is the case then I can't wait to get a set of cam gears.
 
i'm on higher whp now. link below has 139.7whp, but i'm up around 150whp now as a rough guess. i did a 14.576 1/4 mile with this power

I was going to be shocked if I had the most whp N/A protege... i think its weak. I'll see what I can do to get my next run posted. I don't have a scanner so i'll see what I can do.

I'd recommend them.. like i said above I got 9whp out of them but lost 4 torque.

My first run was: 127.92whp 145.15 torque
My seveth run was : 136.05 whp 141.22 torque

I'm sure the 96.23F heat didn't help either.
 
dont forget power on 1 dyno may be (and usually) is different to others.

and peak power and peak torque isnt everything. area under the curve (between your rpm limit and where what rpm you change gears to) is what makes you faster.

easy example is a number of corolla sportivo's here. dont think you get them in america, but in japan they are the runx. anyway, they make far more peak power, they even have a better peak power to weight ratio than my car...yet my car is some 0.6-0.8 seconds faster down the 1/4 mile.

Yea...I would like to see the graph. I think my car peaked above around 6 , but I haven't been able to locate my sheet lately.

My bad that was Torque.. after 5.5k it starts to drop. I maxed in WHP at 6.4k. The print on the paper is crap. I would put it on here but I don't have a scanner sorry dude.

Understandable..I don't have a scanner either.
