which muffler?

what muffler should i go with ? borla or magnaflow? i have always liked magnaflow but borla sounds really nice and deep. what would u guys go with?

(i also could get an apexi N1 almost new for cheap, only thing is they seem alot louder and sound a bit tin-ny to me)
 
not many run either of those exhaust.... LOL
Corksport, Perrin, Vibrant, are most of our choices for exhausts.
 
I'm running Magnaflow with a MAM 2.5" high flow midpipe and I like the sound. Not too ricey but still has a nice tone.

edit* by the way. destineal, yours sounds really nice.
 
Thx Hotch. Do you have any clips of yours? I was told that magnaflow and borla would sound similar.
 
I've always had a soft spot for magnaflow mufflers. if I was going to replace mine thats what I'd go with, but I'm happy with the stock axel back in catless form. Just enough tone, but I can still drive down my alley at night without pissing off the neighbors.

I don't have any clips. I should take some video though and post em up. I actually didn't like the sound of it for the longest time. Then I realized that i had a cracked exhaust manifold. Damn rookie that I am. Once I got it all fixed up with all the exhaust coming out the back end of the car I actually like it.
 
i know not a lot of people run borla or magnaflow but i have always liked magnaflow but borla i find has a nice deep high quality sound usually. Thanks for input guys . Im going custom route cuz i dont wanna pay for a perrin or vibrant ect my friend owns a shop and cuts me a good deal. I have always loved corksports stuff but its harder to find just the muffler
 
If your looking for muffler itself I'm pretty sure Corksport will see you just the muffler. If I had the option I would have gone custom carless 3" esp if I had a friend that owned a shop and just a run a nice sounding muffler as well. That would be your cheapest option.

You'll find that most of us run the other brands mainly because we have full exhaust systems vs. just a muffler.
Like I've said before the cat back section of the MSP is fairly good it's the mid pipe that needs the most improvement....actually that and the down pipe!!!

figures I'd say this on the day I get pulled over for loud exhaust... (though I think he heard the riced out cavi next to me, and saw me...)
 
magnaflow out of those choices... But I dont think they are loud or deep enough compared to what I like.

ya im probably going full 3 inch catless and just throwing a magnaflow or borla muffler on.

ALSO i agree destineal's car sounds sweet.
 
like I said, I'm very happy with it as is. the fireballs are very satisfying when they pop too.

My buddie's subie shoots them basically every time on hard shifts... mine seems to do it more randomly. lol
