Cast iron can crack too, and it certainly wont give you getter gas mileage than the MAM manifold. its a restriction, where Beau's manifold opens up the mid-range (where more driving occurs) giving more HP and TQ.

the manifolds that you've heard of that crack (this is no secret) typically aren't as thick as this manifold is.
.

But a stock manifold is designed for stock set up. And thus longevity wise stock set up is always the best because that is what the car is designed for. And I dont really get how the equation more power equals better gas milage. being that we drive combustion engine so wouldnt more power come form more gas and air? Does the manifold somehow lean out the mixture giving you better gas milage and power?

im looking at the poll and saying to myself WTF? a bit bias and obviosuly trying to sell a product. I thought beau already made a thread about the tubular manifold. wow we come a long way in 1 year and it just bugs me to see this kind of thing go down in a forum that I use to love posting in.

I can't say for sure if this manifold would help gas mileage, but I could see how it would be possible. You are freeing up restrictions in flow, increasing overall efficiency of your engine. That may allow you engine to burn more fuel when you punch it, but if you are cruising, it also may allow your car to get somewhere on less fuel, since you are using that fuel more efficiently.

are you smoking crack or just have a hard time posting simple thought on the internet??

so he spent $20Kcad on a $13Kcad car. Still doesn't seem like a logical investment to me. but it's his money to spend.

ooh thats cool then. thats what like $3 US and some change...LOL. by the way, like the way your car is coming out

The Engine went in today for some final work and assembley. I'm happy with how it's working out too.

P.S. I really don't see the point of the entire money thing. Why are you so pissy with the subject of where my money goes?

To those who think this is a biased post it is not. I put the poll up as a joke. MAM sold me and another guy the manifold at a slightly discounted price, and the only condition was that we give our opinion. I was never told to say it was good or bad. I like it.

MPNick, You said you made 350whp on the stock mani. I bet that was with a hell of a p/p job. Looking at the shape of the mani paths I can't see how it would be optimum. I'm sure with some work you could get it flowing better.

And for those who think the mani is not worth the price, maybe it isn't for you. It was for me and a group of others who want it. Is an exhaust worth $1000? You only net a 20-25 whp gain max. Is an intake worth $200? You only net maybe 5whp and some increased spool time. He could have easily made it out of cast for $500 bux. Then it is another corrosive part on your car. Even if you get it coated any chip in the coating and the inside will rust. Decide for yourself whether it is worth the price, not for everyone else.
