which freakin shifter?!?!

I have the B&M and the kartboy bushings. I think the combo is amazing, and they really changed the way the car feels. In my opinion, the B&M is obviously the best, and it costs accordingly. It has a nice thick weighted bottom portion and it's the only one that replaces the bad plastic washers that make the pivot point. It's a little taller than a stock MSP shifter, but I actually prefer that and it's manufactured extremely well. As far as other shifters, I think the ball bearings on the bottom of the TWM are just gimmicks, and the kartboy is a good valued shifter, just not as nice. The Kartboy costs around 80 bucks from what I've seen, and the B&M runs over 120 on average. The kartboy might be a good value, but the B&M is worth the extra cash in my opinion. Once I got the stock shifter out, I knew I'd never put those plastic washers back in. Just my two cents, check out the stock MSP vs. B&M in this pic:

Hey Tom. Am I able to get JUST the little bar code karboy sticker that goes on top of the shifter knobs. I saw one of those stickers for the eclipses. Granted I have a Greddy counter-weight shift knob, but i have your s/s and bushing and soon to be exhaust hangers. Just wondering if you can hook me up with taht little sticker thing.

There is an OBX short shifter on ebay. I know nothing about it but maybe someone does. It says it's the only shifter on ebay that has a knob included. It's also like 75.00

I've just received and installed the Kartboy shifter and bushings....I've no experience with the B&M/ TWM shifter. The difference is night and day -- the shifts are shorter, crisper, and the overall feel is tighter/ more refined than stock. It's comparable with my Pro 5.0 which I absolutely love on my mustang. The install was straight forward and took me just over an hour, spent a lot of time bullshitting with my buddies. At first I was dubious but went with the less expensive option, the Kartboy is leaps and bounds above stock and makes driving a pleasure. I don't think you can go wrong whichever short throw shifter you choose. For the money, you can't go wrong with the Kartboy. The choice is yours, good luck!

make sure you grease that stucker before you install it or it might squeek.

Daaaaaaaaaamn, that's a good price. I paid 142.00 for mine. I don't regret it though, I think it's worth every bit of 150 bucks.

Bump for Kartboy!

I want another t-shirt with the new logo too!

I need exhaust hangers soon too...

Captain, how long can you honor that price for? I'm trying to straighten some stuff out with a Jetta Im rebuilding, then hopefully I will be able to get one. i have been saying since I bought the car I would get one but havent yet. Now I am planning on moving that to the top of my list.

i will honor that price for the forseeable future - probably until early summer, if not longer

I'd say go for Kartboy. You can't go wrong there.
And customer support is the best. IMHO.

So they make a b&m that fits the msp knob sweet i didnt know that or maybe i would of got 1 is there a diff part number for it?? Also which do you think would make it shift easier the better pivot like on the b&m or the bearing at the bottom on the twm. For some reason i seem to think the bearing cause if u get that a lil to tight it would effect it alot i would think. I got the kartboy with msp knob imo its to low for me im 6'2" and i have to reach way down also its way hard to shift. I havnt got my bushing yet tho they could help but its still to low i think. Thanx alot i just dunno what to do i might go ahead n buy the b&m also i dunno damnnnnnnnnnn. Need answeres bad lol cause im so frustrated.
