Where to put Remote wire

Yeah, so this will be the first time i run a LOC wire an amp.. god forbid i have always heard you get some noise from it, but yeah i know usually you run the remote wire from the H/U, but yeah i have read that with a LOC you run it from the fuse panel... Yeah so my question is which fuse do i run it from in the, does anyone have pictures? also, is there a side i have to put the wire on the fuse?

i used to have it to that, butu will hear a loud pop until the head unit kicks on .. ur deck basically has to boot up it takes a second, the car turns on instantly.. best thing to do is wire it up to ur deck, the wire is there for a reason..

hmm guess you didnt catch that im using a line out converter.. yeah no deck just the factory 6-disk in dash for me dont want to rip apart the dash.. and yeah if you heard a loud pop there had to be something wrong..

o my bad, the loud pop was from the deck bieng off and the amp on.. as son as the deck turned on it was fine.. go under ur fuse panel with a test light, and prob around for a circuit that turns on with ignition on.. most common one is the radio fuse itself..

You could always get fancy and build your own turn-on delay circuit...

I did this same install myself a few weeks ago with some advice from Chuyler1. I stripped about half an inch off the remote wire and wrapped it around one leg of the radio fuse. I didn't use any test equipment, just guessed which leg to use and it worked the first time. (I think I used the bottom leg, I can check tomorrow to make sure if you'd like). I haven't experienced any noise, popping or any other unsettling noises, but I'm only running a sub.

You'd hear a loud thump instead of a pop with just the sub. Most decent amplifiers have turn-on pop protection to prevent this anyway.

I just did this with some interior neons yesterday. I think it will be the 15A blue fuse. I also wrapped it around a leg and popped the fuse back in. Works like a charm.
