before our most recent trip to arizona, we shipped out about 30 packages. It has been well over a week now since we sent anymore. We will be back and the shop mid this week and I have my list of orders that are shipping.

guys if you think you have long lead times here are some examples

right now I am waiting for brake rotors which are made for an rx7 which has alot more market than the protege and I have been waiting since March 31st for them, my order has been changed 4 times since I placed that order

and I ordered a CF grill in March also I am still waiting for that

and obviously neither of those were from MAM they are from 2 other vendors

do you see any posts about it? no because I have been ordering stuff for this car for 3 yrs and I have learned to expect it since they are low volume products

as much as I would love the stuff to show up a week later its just not going to happen on most of our stuff

Ok that is fine, but I still have not received it. It should not take two weeks from something to get from Arizona or Utah (depending on where you shipped from) to get to NC. I think you should really use UPS that way you can provide your customers with a tracking number. This is the 2nd manifold you have sent to me that I have yet to receive. If I were in your shoes I'd be all over USPS's ass, but that is just my opinion.

We sent your manifold of almost 2 weeks ago. I have the receipt that has about 30 orders on it from USPS. WhenI get back in, I'll scan it to show you.

no ones really complaining about lead times. its being told somehting is shipped and it hasnt, weather its a mistake or confusion. thats the issue. did any of those places tell you its on its way for sure, then it never comes? prolly not, they just said its not ready and u have to wait. right?

wha. usps provides tracking on their shipments too.

i think its been covered. the problem isnt having to wait weeks or months for a product, its beign told it was shipped when it hasnt.

It was my understanding that they are blowing up and need more room for business. You are dealing with a shop that has a lot of customers and has a good reputation, welcome to the car world. Ask a guy with a Corvette how long his car was in the shop getting his motor rebuilt.

Anyway, I'd like to think I was neutral in all this so I am sorry you didn't seem to know what you were getting in to, but things like this usually take a few months.

Agreed, for the most part. But the rep you and everyone speaks of is more for quality than anything. Everyone seems to get that part confused. Waiting is one thing, but the corvette guy probably had better communication with that vendor.

Now we know the rest of the story....I have had good experiences so far with MAM. I for one, am happy they do their best to serve the Mazda performance sector...

RIght now we are in the middle of a rough move. What was expected to take 2 weeks has now ended up as 6 and we are still moving. Long story short, the company that was in the building we took over was set to move out May 16th.. That day can and went. After waiting for 2 weeks, myself and my employee's moved there stuff outside for them. That put us 2 weeks behind. Then the 700 mile 1 way trip takes 12-15 hours pulling a trailor. Days are lost.
We have many things that have been changing for sometime. I do not claim to be perfect, but strieve to be. I have hired on 2 employees to help with shipping,phones,etc. I promise you things will get better. Since I'm not on much I can not answer PM's personally and have Mike doing them for me. Mike only knows what he's told or feels he knows. Sometimes people's orders get crossed and confused. It happens and we are putting in controls to limit mistakes.

It's not that I choose not to spend time here answering PM's. The fact is right now I do not have time. I have to train, build, order, ship,etc
Until I get my 2 employees up to speed it will be a bumpy ride. However we will iron that road out over time.

are being dropped. Motors is a HUGE one and have been dropped. Wiseco, SPEC and a few others are next. These parts we do not make. We are told X-amount of time from the manufactor and we forward that to the customer. Time and time again what we are told is not true. This makes us look bad. Parts that we make inhouse don't run this problem unles it's sent to an outside source for coating,plating,etc.

Its a shame that businesses like wiseco can get away with that. ive always wanted a tubular manifold from you guys, they look amazing( and perform amazingly!).

... add when you get 37+ midpipe orders within a few days haha. No one was mad at you guys for that though, it's completely understandable that it isn't physically possible to make them quickly keeping the MAM quality we've all come to love

Oh and mspHtown, from what I read you'll still be able to get the tubular manifold, just it'll be cast (so probably lighter, but maybe not quite as sexy I dunno?).

I spoke with beau via PM the yesterday. Honestly Beau is a good guy and MAM is good because of him. WHoever has been operating the PM's in his absence really needs to get a reality check. I sent my Block to MAM back in Febuary of this year. I have yet to recieve my motor back I have been on foot now for going on 5 months. I have paid them about 1200 dollars and They are saying before I can get my motor back I need to pay them 400 dollars for pistons, NOw I realize my block situation has extenuating circumstances or whatever but when I read online that people are having big problems with weisco Im really starting to be more skeptical than anything about the validity of me paying an extra 1600 dollars on top of the Built block. Nonetheless when you havent had a car for such a long time you get to a point where it does not matter and you'd like to get it back. Tommorrow is Tuesday and I have been promised that it will go out Tomorrow Tuesday, BUt like I have been told before It will not be shipped< I will not get a tracking number or whatever. Beau your Company is good because of you but Honestly YOu are loosing integrity points when you have people who work for you telling people that their stuff is going to be there on time when in retrospect it has not even been ordered or recieved by you all. Im really disappointed more than anything in MAM. I dont ever like to threaten legal action but If I dont get satisfaction soon Im going to seek damages for this matter. I believe that I have been more than Patient with this matter. I do not get on this forum to slander or cut people down, However I believe that through tough talk comes action. IM sick of waiting on what I was promised well over 2 months ago. I have done everything on my end by paying every dime asked on time, I have been more than the bigger man by waiting and being patient and polite. Im tired of it. This is not a threat it is a promise, Im going to seek legal council if I do not recieve my motor in a timely fashion. This is ridiculous. Had I known it was going to take this long I'd come out better driving the car off a cliff or purchasing a built block from Street Unit.

I sent my Block to MAM back in Febuary of this year. I have yet to recieve my motor back I have been on foot now for going on 5 months. I have paid them about 1200 dollars a Had I known it was going to take this long I'd come out better driving the car off a cliff or purchasing a built block from Street Unit.

Not my personal case but a friend of mine has been waiting over a year for a built long block that he paid almost $4,700 up front for. He was told 8-12 weeks and then after months of no contact he would call and they would promise him it would be done in 2 weeks. Those 2 weeks turned into months without any contact, even after leaving messages and PMs asking on the progress. When there was contact it was promised another 2 weeks, so on and so on, ect. Then finally after over a year being sent bits and pieces of the motor weeks/months apart if at all? It has taken action via credit card/bank to get them to contact them and NOW they want to talk and promise yet again- its ready to ship now, it will ship tomorrow, blah blah blah.... I think I can understand how you feel b.c I have seen my friend go through this for the past year, and I understand his feelings about it.

I delt with Beau in Nov 04 and he had a SPEC clutch drop shipped to my house overnight with no problem, I was very happy with his service then, I dont know what has happened since then but it is very sad.

well, i've ordered gauge rings from MAM and on this last Sunday, he promised me that it has gone out already. I was informed by them that it has left before June 16, but, last Sunday was the 25th and i should have recieved it?? I am still waiting on it and don't have any clue why it's taking this long. I'm thinking i wan't some compensation too, I mean I did pay almost 6 bucks for shiping on an item that i don't have till now! I expected it to reach me within a reasonable time from the time they said it was sent!! I feel your frustration and huge inconvenience you're going through, it's one thing to wait for something and then wait more after being told it's being delayed more, but, it's another thing when you're told it's already left and you wait for ever in the dark!!
