Hey fellas and ladies. Well now that I have the front lip, Im thinking about side skirts. Question goes out to those of you with 2001+ sedans DX/LX/ES who did the convertion to MP3 or MSP body kits. I dont see any holes on the body, where Im suppose to plug the clips in. Could you tell me how do I mount the side skirts? Do I need to drill the holes or am I missing something there? Thanks in advance.

ok haha, i brought my lazy ass outside just now and rubbed off s*** load of dirt and found the rubber plugs under the car where side skirts supposed to be mounted in. Nevermind then, hehe

oh...maybe I should do that too....I want ot just pop them off so that I can re-sand my side skirt

Mine didn't have any holes when I put on the MS sideskirts. The body shop that did it for me had to drill them. I don't know, maybe it is different cause mine is a 1999 Protege.

Interesting...Are you 100% sure though? I was under the impression that the side skirts would go right on?

isn't the sedan body the same as the msp/mp3? seems wierd that they wouldn't put holes in all of them.

im positive that the holes for side skirts are there. Tomorrow after work, ill try and rip off one of the rubber plugs under there.

You have to drill 5 holes I believe. Clips mount to those, then you slide the skirt sideways onto them, then use the front wheel well inner fender to hold it with 2 more clips. Took me about an hour each side and was a piece of cake to put on.

We need pics and diagrams and such...This is need to know info for non skirt having sedan owners.

the only holes were two in the wheel wells, but as for the area under the doors, the body shop had to drill....$$$$$$$$$$$$

I think the body shop might have had their way with you...You ever been someones b****?
Dis has checked and found holes on his car plugged and I beleive the the Speeds started life as a normal protege that this stuff was added to.I could see having to drill a coupl of spots but not all of them...It would be quite hard considering the amount of clips that hold these on.

I know once they were in, they weren't coming out. I will look tomorrow for my diagram that came with my skirts. The clips are large white ones, the outer part is circular, the inside resembles a Christmas tree.

I got a set of side skirts sitting here...Clips and all....but I dont have an LX to look at...theres one at work...I'll have to get down and look under it in the morning to see for myself what the deal is under the non skirted sedans.
