wheel/tire question

Sold off my rx-8's so i have money for new rims, im getting rota slipstreams that are 17x8 with a +40 offset, what i wanna know is, will that offset work with the stock 205/50/17's or will it rub any wher.


p.s the cars lowered on eibach prokit but planning on going to 1.75 drop on roadmagnets

those wheels will work fine with those tires. They will be a little stretched but not bad at all. You could also get away with 215/45 or 225/45

In your instance the smaller tire 205/50 will have less chance of rubbing, and the lower offset will move the wheel further from the strut. With the 205/50's i dont think you will rub at all if anything slightly in the rear with such a drop
