Mazda CX-7 tire question

Hi I wanted to get feedback about changing tire size on my car. Currently the tire is 215 70 17 which are expensive due to the fact very few manufacturers make them i was told I could go to a 225 65 17. Has anyone done this or have any knowledge i have a 2010 Mazda CX7

Yes, you can safely use that tire size. I used this tire size calculator to check. As long as there isn't more than a 3% difference in overall diameter from the OEM setup, you're safe.
