What's my P5 REALLY worth?

I've been checking prices for months now trying to get an idea of what my P5 is worth, and can't decide what they're truly selling for. KBB / Edmunds list one price, then I go on autotrader.com and similar cars are listed as high as $13k! I think the KBB is low and the autotrader is high, personally.

So, you guys are the experts....what would be a reasonable private party price for this car?

-2003
-Silver
-Manual
-41,000 miles
-new tires (205/50-16)
-well maintained, great condition

The bad:
-one small paint chip on bottom corner of front bumper where my wife hit a toolbox I had left on the floor of the garage
-was in a very minor fender bender, (minor damage, no injuries, no airbag deployment), but was fixed (and painted) perfectly with OEM parts

I would guess 8-10k or so maybe 10-12 if you're patient & someone else really wants one. Just ballpark guess.

I got $8500 for my trade in; $1000 more than what carmax offered me. 56k miles, 2003, black, auto. (new tires, waxed twice a month, etc.)

well, I just paid 9700 for my 2002 with 34000 miles on it from a dealer. That should give you some idea at least. Not a door ding on it, descent tires, moonroof.

I have a 2002 and went to a few dealerships to see what I could get for it. It has 71,xxx and apparently I can't get more than 5,000. Any ideas?

Sell it privately. Your car is definitely worth more than that!

JWilson,
Autotrader is high, but people pay that price for our P5s...I got my 03 for 9k and considered that a deal. Be patient, it sounds like your car is in good shape and you should get a fair price for it. Sell it private...dealers always rip you off!

thanks man.. but you have no idea how hard its been trying to sell this car. its a daily driver, from home to school and then on weekends i goto PA for my family.. so its mostly all highway miles. but by the end of the month i add around 1,600 onto the car. whats a pretty good price to be at? im asking about 7000

I'm in Houston, so the pricing may be different, but I bought a silver, manual with new tires, a sunroof, tinted windows, and leather for $9300 this last weekend. I thought it was a decent deal.

Where you live does dictate the actual "Market Value".
Prices will very...just check out your area pricing for the info.
