New battery, I guess five years isn't bad for the one from the PO.
It seems like everyone snaps their AWR links since they don't work with OEM links. And they rust in a year. I'm not too impressed with AWR parts.
I've had a Progress bar on my two P5's for about 5 years now with only one issue, I broke a mounting bracket tri-podding into my old apartment complex day after day. Since I replaced it I haven't had an issue with it and I drove my P5's pretty hard in the twisties.
Problem with the AWR parts is that they're intended for race cars, and not street cars. Therefore they don't run any corrosion resistance because hey... a race car really isn't going to see harsh conditions. The bar that I had, when I bought it off of Rob, he had it on his car for 3 years. There was no rust anywhere. One winter on mine, rust galore on the endlinks. So many factors as to why that happens.
Well I think 90% of the parts AWR sells are to street cars so they should do a better job getting some kind of corrosion resistance on there.
Just saying for the OP about a rear sway, I think he would be happier with the Progress bar than the AWR bar.

never had issues with my AWR bar.. but I never used their terrible designed noisy heim joint endlinks.. but than again i only drive my car in the summer and have no issues with salt/winter...

Ah, I see. I've been happy with the AWR bar. I've had it on since '06. In that time, I've replaced the sway bar bushings maybe twice, and the endlink ends once. Now it's time to do the endlink bushings again, which is a bit disappointing after only 2 years, but hopefully not too expensive. I just need AWR to answer my email so I can get them on the way!
I don't know that it would be worth the money to go to a whole new bar setup.

Cam, I think around $90.
Ryan, do eeeet. It was one of my favorite mods. It took some getting used to to have a FWD with neutral handling since I came from 3 Civics with ALL understeer ALL the time. haha
