What have you done to your P5 today?

pulled the intercooler and charge piping off. Picked up a power steering only belt from napa.

Also found out that my stock oil pressure switch is leaking... (the one right above the oil filter) So once i put the turbo kit, ill replace it.

Higher octane never makes a difference, unless your car is boosted or high compression, your wasting money

^this. There is no reason to use premium unless your car is supposed to use it

Drove her for the first time in two days this morning. This afternoon I cleaned the air filter and then ripped the rear interior apart to try and find the clunk that is rather annoying (it was there before I installed the AWR links). Only thing I could find loose was one nut on the seat belt adjuster (sorry, don't know the actual name) on the PS. Also noticed that the actual strut on the DS can be turned a full 360 degrees whereas the PS locks after a 1/4 turn? Is this something to be alarmed about?

Jeff, I remember a while back, MattV made a thread about using washers for the Tokico blues on that top nut to tighten them down. I used washers when I installed mine too. I was getting a clunk back there coming from the strut towers. See if you can find his How-To and perhaps try that trick. Worked for him and I.

Filled up with gas... 35 MPG. Glad I am seeing a bit better mileage with the price @ $4.42/gal.

in new-brunswick , canada , i pay 1.33$ per littre for 89octane and 1.44 per littre for 91.
in us gallons its 5.034 canadian dollars per US gallon for 89 octane
5.450$ canadian dollars per US gallon for 91 octane

so suck it up princess , ur gas isnt that pricey hah

It may not be as pricey as other places, but when you are use to a certain price point, and it jumps like crazy, you start to feel it... especially when you drive 70 miles every day.

De-Lamin-X'd my fogs, and did the fog light mod. The easy one...fogs still turn off with brights, but I'm not concerned with that at all.

Side note...I lamin-x'd my heads and fogs, and in my opinion, the light looks nasty when it comes through the tint. It's kind of purple, and it also blocks a lot of light. Conclusion...do the work to paint the inside bezel black. It looks cleaner anyway!

I did the bake and paint, and it was not hard if you take your time, and have a good 3 hours.

I will never never do lamin-x again!

Changed the oil to 10w-30 high mileage oil and changed the oil filter. And put some new Bosch icon wipers on it. That's about it.

In Alberta, where we have a little over 1.71 trillion barrels of total oil (everything that was harvested and is still left together), in the country with the third largest oil reserves in the world, I pay $4.61/gal CAD ($4.76/gal USD) for 87 octane... and we have some of the cheapest gas in Canada. You guys don't have it so bad.

That blows for NB though. No MP3 ECU for me for a while, thats for sure.


Azuelke, I know what you mean. With my built up Safeway discount two years ago, I paid $0.54/litre for gas one winter for one tank. I think the posted price was like $0.74. Every time I have to fill up now I feel like crying.
