What have you done to your P5 today?

Blacked out headlights, yellowed out fogs, hd lip, painted grill red and put the chromy m back on pics tomorrow since it rained today.

Let my brother sand off the letters on one of the VC's I got powdercoated...yea...that didn't go good...he did them on mine and it turned out great...said the sandpaper slipped off the block this time and ruined it...I guess I will just have to re-sandblast and coat it again...

Ani cleaned up the interior...
I <3 the black face cluster in my P5.

No PM needed. The 10 steps are:
Step 1 - Pull all the parts out.
Step 2 - Wipe down with rubbing alcohol
Step 3 - Sand (if you lightly sand there's that fake CF stuff under the oem paint...kinda cool).
Step 4 - Clean
Step 5 - Paint with primer
Step 6 - Paint with paint
Step 7 - Paint with clear
Step 8 - Dry
Step 9 - Put parts back on
Step 10 - Take pics (mswerd)

finally replaced the bald all seasons on my car that were preventing me from driving. still need to replace a wheel bearing soon tho..guhh

Sparco's are in! Driver's side was a pain in the ass as the bracket didn't really line up at all so I had to drill out 3 of the 4 mounting holes. The passenger's side went right in fortunately and the airbag "foolers" are also working just fine. Over all I'm happy with the results. The new seats are about 2-4 inches lower than stock but I actually prefer this. Makes the Protege feel a little more like a Miata now :) I can also see the gauges mounted in my gauge surround better. Pictures when I'm motivated enough to take them...

Don't tell me that magnum about the problems with wedge brackets. After lookin at bracket it doesn't look like it matches either. Where did you get the hex bolts btw? I'll be needing some myself to complete my install...

nice. i hated being that low. made driving annoying.. that's why i put the 1" spacers in.
I actually like the new height. I'm guessing you added spacers between the brackets and the sliders or between the sliders and the seats? Just looking at the brackets from Wedge I don't see any way you could put spacers underneath them. Either way, I'm going to ride around like this for a while and if I find I don't like it, I may look into spacers.

All things considered, it could have been much worse. At least the bends were all in the correct locations. I just had to take a dremel and drill out the holes a little. 1/8" at the most. As for hardware, I re-used the bolts for the bracket/floorboard interface but for all the others I went to Lowe's. The thread/pitch is M8x1.25 for all bolts and I find you can't use traditional hex head bolts because the head is too big to fit inside the sliders. I went with some allen key head bolts and everything worked just fine.

i managed to squeeze my hex bolts into the sliders..somehow.. but yea.. i used the spacer in between the slider and bracket.
