What have you done to your P5 today?

Lol...when it doesn't run you don't need to see out of the back...

As for my car, we dropped the tranny out and come to find out the flywheel had lots of burned up oil on the plate, so we ordered a new surface for it...that is all we are awaiting now for it...when we pulled it we realized that we really messed up when we put the rear main in...it was much to far pushed in...

damn son.....you should be able to tear down a car, put it back together and run a race in a day now

Yea...I have learned soooo much from this whole experience...I have no doubt that I could pull a motor and put it in...there are still things I am learning though...as for the front emblem...just use a long razor blade to wedge it in and get it off...that is how I did it...

Yea 77 with the tolls. Man what a blast. There was no one tonight except for a few trucks and stuff but they all stayed on the right side.

I was on 77 North last night from midnight to 7am coming home from Johnson City, TN after a gig. You probably passed us in a big 15 passenger van. Haha

Yea we got home at 11pm last night so we missed ya. I didn't think the drive would be as good as it was though.

There are two pins on that front emblem, but nothing hard to get off...

yeah i got it off.....soaking it now to remove the chrome....

so looking over the car....i found a really bad paint line of where they taped off for the clear coat about an 1/8 inch from the door jam. a spot they missed with clear coat so it looks rough, and where they got the black surround of the rear side window with a sander....AAAHHHHHHHHH

hey anybody know the lowest offset that was on a p5? i wonder if a +35 will fit...i want a low offset with minimal rubbing and fender rolling

installed my new optima today, changed the oil and fiter and installed my freshly painted (porsche red) strut tower brackets..bad phone pic...(sad2)

well i have a plus 45 and lowered on 17"s and i rub when i got people in the back.....so that might be pushing a lil

then a +35 is the last thing you want on a 7" wheel. More like +45 and above.

I had +42 offset on my last set of wheels and had absolutely no rub. I'm lowered 2". I doubt you could go too much past that without the whole fender rolling dealio.

what did you have, 175 wide tires? lol. I had +42s w/ 205s on them and they'd rub in the rear over big bumps with no one and nothing but me in the car. Even worse with passengers and / or luggage.

For reference guys my Enkei's are 17x7 +45 mm and I have 215/40R15 tires, I am running -1 degree of camber in the rear and I just barely clear the fender. Without any fender modification or greater about of negative camber 17x7 +45 mm is the lowest offset you can go with 215/40R17 tires. Obviously with greater camber you can go with lower offsets. I'll probably add some 1/8-1/4" spacers when I get coilovers to knock the offset down to 42-40 mm.
