Heres the picture of the floor bar... From what EVADE says its a universal floor bar... Not sure where he got it from but for $20... Hey it makes a big difference when coupled with a rear strut tower bar mod.

The protege chassis is REALLY stiff... I fail to see how that would provide a noticeable improvement. Looks more like someone got you for $20... Did you do this and the sway bar at the same time?

It doesn't let the frame twist/bend/flex at all... There's no body roll... When going into driveways sideways one rear tire comes off the ground... Doesn't let the body twist at all... It's loose but when cornering you can't move the bar at all... So i believe it's doing its job... Oh yea i did it the same time as the rear strut tower mod... It seems like it probably does the same thing as the gt-spec vbrace but from within the car...

Tylor, you might want to look at having a front sway bar installed, now that the engine is out and you have the room. I've heard great things about them, but the install is terrible while the engine is in.

Got the kinks worked out of my CAI. sounds great and no more idle issues yet

just out of curiosity don't you also have shocks and or struts that should extend slightly downward to keep that tire on the ground?... maybe its just me? (uhm)

the tokico blues don't rebound fast enough to keep the tire on the ground especially since there's no force being applied to it. Now when cornering its a different story cuz the springs help the strut rebound quicker. Try jacking up ur car. It should take a while for the strut to completely extend. Or atleast it should unless there blown. And depends how high the tire comes off the ground cuz it can only come down so far. Im sure if i stayed sideways for a while the tire would eventually touch the ground.

Won a new battery hold down for my optima red top on ebay! Woot.

lucky guy. The stock ones suck. I had to wrap mine up near the +terminal with about a role of electical tape cuz its to darn close. Used to ground out and that's definently not a good thing.

Nice!

Tonight I won, with the ever popular BIN feature a 2003 Tribute wiper lever for $49.49 shipped with insurance. Mmmmmm variable wiper goodness.

Thanks guys! This is what it looks like:

I actually broke the stud off of the strut tower where the oem tiedown bolts on. This one holds it from the bottom. I have to secure it to the stock battery tray. This works perfectly for the battery top distribution block that I am going to get, which looks like this:

I'll probably have to re-do my Big 3 alt + to battery + length of 1/0 GA, but that's easy.

the top and bottom thing looks awesome. Im more interested by the top part. Where and how much does that thing cost. Post up some pics when u get those things installed. I wanna get some pending on how the install goes.

The battery tray I got for $45 shipped on ebay. There were multiple available from the same seller, but I was the only that bid. Here's the auction that I won, the seller should have them back up soon: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...em=350025222319&_trksid=p3984.cTODAY.m238.lVI

Alright, can anyone tell me what's wrong in this pic?

Look closely. I'll post the pic of the problem in my next post.

Also, mechanic says the motor looks good so far. He doesn't think it's the bearings either. Also, clutch is in real good shape as well as flywheel, so, I'll be saving money and keeping them stock till they go bad. He's gotta get a further approval to tear down again today to make sure there is no scoring in the cylinder walls.

That is never good. And he didn't find the broken hunks of metal yet. He thinks they're still in the motor somewhere.

how the **** do you break THAT!?

I honostly don't know the answer to that. He asked if I was tearing through the gears hard. I told him I havn't done that since I owned the car. So, he has no clue, I have no clue. But, it's still broken.
