What have you done to your P5 today?

Changed the spark plugs and installed my new intake today. While changing the plugs I managed to knock the feeler gauge down into the bumper, eventually found it in there and got it out. While adjusting the intake to make sure that it didn't rub on the brake booster managed to break one of the cheap hose clamps. But I eventually got it all done and love the sound of the new intake.

I ordered these for my HIDs

Changed my swaybar links finally, took a bit longer than I thought, but man, no more clunking.

Well my car is a POS right now.

I have no headlights. I have had a rattle that I couldn't find in the rear. Last week while at Tony's I thought my exhaust gasket finally gave way in the parking garage. With the windows down in the parking garage (photoshoot) I heard a clattering noise echo off the concrete. I thought it was an exhaust leak bouncing off the concrete.

So today I changed the oil and rotated the tires. Discovered that my right rear strut is broken where the swaybar endlink attaches. Drove around with the windows down and the stereo off and discovered its my motor that is clattering exactly like my original motor was. 1/4th throttle under light load. This motor now has around 80 thousand miles just like when my first one went bad. My belts are squealing too. Oh and my tires are down to 3/32.

I have way too much to do to my P5 since I got it from my brother, and so little money. :( I have to change out the struts, flush the transmission, either get the roof rails or the roof rail delete kit, and wash it!!! :P

Wow...I know they say that bad things come in 3's but that is ridiculous. I also noticed that I have a belt squealing as well. Plan on replacing them soon as I am approaching 97k.

nothing better happen to motor or something stupid

I still need to plan to replace the clutch, the black rubber around all the windows, the brakes ... and that's not even voluntary upgrades. bleh

I just installed my AEM Short Ram Intake. While I was installing it though, I snapped off one of the ends off my solenoid that goes on the top of the short curve intake. Thank god my co-worker was working, we glued and apoxy'd it back together. But it looks great....although everyone at work laughed at me cuz I spent about 200 bucks on it and said it was a waste of money. Boo to them.

It's not really a waste of money. I can't drive anywhere without people looking at my car. Even if they don't see it, they hear it and then see it. Or, if I have a passenger in the car they enjoy the car as much as I do with the whole experience. And, while it's not the fastest car in the world - it's fun to drive. I was at a red light today and it turned green and there was a person in a Maxima coming up behind me. They switched lanes to pass me because I was going from 0-45 and they were already doing 20ish.

Just for fun I gassed it real hard and they never even got next to me. Sure, when I make a billion dollars in the future I can do the same thing with my 2028 Citogen Nuclear Powered Hybrid Thermal Geo Plasma TYPE-R and go 0-200 in 3 seconds, but it'll never be the same as the P5 that could.

Looks like time for a new battery. Over 6 years and 157K on the original. Had to boost the car today to get it started.

gotta love those days! (argh)

on a different note, i have a volt gauge in my car that usually reads just over the 14 (in the little red part) and now when i am driving it is occasionally under the 14 (down to almost the 12 sometimes) does that mean that it is new battery time before i get stranded somewhere? (i could get pics if that would help)

The only thing I did today was curse my bald ass tires.....30K warrantee here I come...hopefully...I'm sure they will screw me out of the free tires I deserve..

I washed and waxed her and took her for a drive down through some curvy roads....I really need to start adding some suspension mods (yawn)
