What have you done to your P5 today?

Well, yesterday we came out of the house to discover that someone during the night tried to break into the P5...

The tried to pop off the door handle w/ a screw driver but the handle broke and they quit...

The lock still works and such but the door handle is fubar....time to find another one...
 
Damn, no P5 love lately... I guess I'm going to have to lay low. The last time we had a large number of P5 incidents occur I was right in there with the rest. Stupid holiday drivers...

freakin idiot driver (gun)

i tried to chase him down but by the time i turned around he had already turned down a side street and i didnt see him go. a guy who saw it tried to chase him down but he got out of the lot before the guy could get to him

it wouldnt do any good because the cop tried to put it on me anyway. i told the cop he was an idiot (not directly but beat around the bush at it)

LOL, you're a better man than I am. I would have straight up told the cop to his face he was full of it. I don't know why, but lately most law enforcement officials are beginning to bug me. Maybe it was the two bulls*** tickets over the summer and the most recent: traffic cop wouldn't let my side go for over 5 minutes (kept skipping over me!)

it took him 30 minutes to get there too. well when he said "i could write you a ticket, but i dont want to" i decided i'd tone it down a bit. lol
 
used car-parts.com and got myself a used replacement door/lock handle in HZ yellow for $33 shipped
 
im still having a really weird idle on startup.

i turn the car on, the car kinda stutters to life, sometimes the needle hits 2k, sometimes not. it hovers around 1400, then after a couple secs start to stutter badly and the needle will be bouncy. then it goes away, then needle bounces up to 2k and holds steady...

is this an egr problem? i cleaned it and lubed it with liquid wrench... i think im gonna try clean my IAC again too...

any ideas?

luckily i managed to stop enough to not t-bone his ass, though maybe i should have.

My right HID went out last week. So today I get a harebrain idea to take the ballast from the left side and hook it up to the right side. If It lit then my ballast was bad. If it didn't light then I knew my bulb was bad. Well it didn't light the right side. So I put it back on the left side and now I can't get the left side to light either.

So now I have no headlights at all. I've blown 3 fuses so far.
 
looks like the p5 curse is still around after all...cover your cars with pillows and lock 'em up in the garage everybody!
 
Umm, I just installed my Familia emblem on the back of my vehicle. I also found out I ordered the wrong sway bar end linkages....stupid me ordered the 8" ones.....should have gone with the 6".

I had a CEL come on yesterday - apparently P0171 - not what I had though. Unplugged the battery and primary O2 sensor for like 30 minutes while I checked for major exhaust and vacuum leaks - none. Plugged everything back in and the P5 would barely idle! Looks like all this P5 badness comes in waves...
 
you guys are making me nervous about driving home in morning traffic (nailbyt)
hell, i still haven't gotten the dent fixed from last summer's parking lot brawl
