What have you done to your P5 today?

You could have just pulled the header off and left the racing beat.. the racing beat alone doesn't drone at all, it's only slightly louder than the stock exhaust.

I agree - I was happiest with my setup (sound wise) When it was just a K&N CAI combined with the RB cat-back.

my car is a little on the loud side with the AEM SRI, OBX header, MAM midpipe (w/cat), and Magnaflow cat-back, and drones a little on the highway, but i do love the deep tone...

Is all that freaking noise coming from the header ?? Well, I can fix that. Got a small pile of air tools and a compressor for X-mas. Maybe I'll swap the exhaust back when I go to take off the header.

Do you have an aftermarket mid-pipe as well? I've heard that these up the DB's as well. I installed mine at the same time as the OBX, so I don't know how much it does alone ...

No, just the OBX, stock midpipe, and the RB. I too put mine on all at the same time so I don't have any judge of the loudness of each piece by itself. I'll try taking off the header and running with the RB when I get back in town and see what the results are like. I hate the look of the stock exhaust tip after having the RB one on there. The stock one looks so damn dinky........

I installed my MAM midpipe about a year after doing the header. The header alone definitely increased the DB's of the exhaust setup (already had SRI and catback), and the midpipe also increased the volume, though not as much as the header. To me it seemed that the midpipe made the tone a little deeper and not drone quite as much on the highway (even though compared to some other exhaust setups it drones very, very little), even with the slight volume increase...

Biggest thing with me is that I have a 60+ mile drive to work everyday and on the highway at 75 mph I am touching almost 3500 rpms. The noise on the highway is the only thing that bothers me about it. Around town driving is fine cause I'm not at a constant 3000+ rpm buzz. I do like the gains, it definitely feels better and sounds better but, the car is already loud enough on the highway without a loud exhaust to help it. If it was a 3rd car I'd be all good. I'll experiment a bit and take off the header and put the RB back on and see what she does....

^^^Yellow looks great on your black mica! +1 on the rear plate mod as well.

My P5 passed inspection....but barely. Rear pads are at 2 and front pads are at 3. Time to shop for brakes...but first the search button. :)

I was able to smoke my side markers, bumper lenses, and front emblem.

the turbo does wonders for keeping things quiet. racing beat catback + mam catted midpipe + corksport downpipe + GT25R + callaway manifold = really quiet even when I was driving with a pretty big boost leak :)

I thought you said it was an exhaust leak

I partially installed my stereo system. The head unit is in but I still need to run the wires and install the rear headrest screens.

Looks good. Did you sand and primer the emblem first? If not it will chip off very easily.
