What have you done to your P5 today?

thanks. i found it on ebay. i'm picking up up saturday morning and when i get it back here, i'll do a post and take a few pictures. i've wanted a p5 for a while now. i'm one of those people who got a normal protege and then after finding these forums and doing research fell in love with the p5 body. it's only got 44,200 miles on it and is the dark blue mica color. i'm trying to decide what my first mod will be. probably tint just because i'm so used to that. then i'll put the sound system (that i'm removing from my car today) into the p5. i'm thinking of fiberglassing an enclosure and mounting the amps under the backseat. sound like a good plan?
midnight blue ftw :D

^^^You just put that in!

Left mine in the driveway for the wifey to drive to work and finally got the additional 200lbs of wait out of the hatch/rear seat area.

(first) :D

can't wait to see the pics shaggy, you'll love the P5. dark tint definitely looks good on the mid blue.

haven't ever driven/ridden in the 350Z, but i don't know if it could match the balance, handling, and of course that beautiful rotary sound from the RX8. i'd love to have an 8 someday, i've even got a couple options for a custom plate should i get one :)

Holy crap, I thought the salesman who was in my P5 during my initial test drive was large.. that definitely takes the cake (though he probably should lay off the cake haha)

but yeah.. no honda! (I know you were a honda guy, but we can cure you of that I'm sure). The 350z is totally tits though, wow. mmmmmm it would be hard to say no to a 350z, but how did the driving dynamics and poise and such compare to the RX-8?

Ha! No...that's the combined weight of everyone in the car. Nah...no Honda for me. Just thought I'd take one for a spin. It's nice, but the "economical" part of the car is still most present. The Z on the other hand, that's a lovely beast indeed. So many debates have already been spoken about comparing the Z and the 8. Personally, the power is fantastic in the Z, but I'm just not feeling the true love that I have in the 8. Trust me....I've been looking at everything. Plus there is the $$$ factor. The Z I tested had waaaaay too many miles for my liking at 56K.

il left my P5 at the airport today..sigh* had to fly up to washington....2 weeks...i parked her next to red P5 to keep her company...hehe

Had an alignment done today. Found out the LF wheel bearing is a little worn, would explain the hum I am hearing at highway speeds. Mechanic says it doesn't need to replaced yet.

Quoted me $200 to replace the bearing. Sound right?

Yep, I know.

So certified transmissions is putting my stock one with the open diff back in and I'll get to see why the MSP one is binding in 5th grear.

At least I'll still have the light weight fidanza flywheel and the ACT clutch on the car.

Would hate for the wifey to find the 200lb dead waiter in the hatch huh???

Sorry to hear about the tranny.

Are you liking the flywheel? I know I am.

I'm loving the flywheel and clutch. Been driving miss daisy though trying to ease in the new clutch.

I'll get the MSP tranny back and will have to tear it apart to find out why 5th gear is binding up. I'm thinking about the 323 or 626 5th gear and reduce some highway rpms.

i went out to try and start it today and got nothing, the cold killed my battery. Luckily with a jump from a friend I was able to get her going but looks like its time to upgrade to an optima.
