I'm getting crap gas mileage.. gas light came on on the way back from work.. at 275 miles on the trip odo. I'm going to go put some petrol in and see how she was in terms of real MPG numbers. This was my first tank on the Protege5 ECU so maybe it was re-learning for a bit.. so I'll do one more tank on 87 and then see if maybe I get different results if I go back to premium like I ran with the MP3 ECU.

yeah. When you first install it the power gains aren't hugely obvious aside from smoothing out the powerband which you can definitely feel. Once it gets through a couple driving cycles though and learns it's really nice. The top end power is so good!

Yes....all of that . Even tho you have to pay a bit more for gas, you get way better MPG b/c of how much leaner (not in a bad way, cuz the protege's run really rich stock) it runs.
