I have absolutely hated every single JVC deck I have ever owned, even my NT1 (which is not by any means an entry level deck). I've owned Sony, Pioneer, Clarion, Alpine and JVC and by far Clarion and Pioneer were my favourite. You can get some clarion decks pretty cheap too. I did love my sony though...

Love the mic placement though. Does it pick up ok, or do vibrations muddy the sound quality?

The mic placement is perfect. People can hear me loud and clear and it's set to the Volume 2 out of 3. I've had 5 vehicles in the past 15 years and this will be my 6th JVC unit. I have had zero issues with them. Chalk it up to brand loyalty and familiarity I guess

Got the car back from the body shop. They put a new front end on, cut out the rust on the rear quater panels, got one of the two rust spots on the rear hatch, sandblasted the inside of the doors and repainted them, did a krown rust proof treatment all for $1250
I also installed the megan racing rear lateral links and did the fog light mod

I think my end links are too long cause i think the stabalizer bar ocassionally touches the lateral links

yeah they won't do anything if it can't be done right and i got a small discount. the owner is a great guy. i'm going to try to send any of the local mazda guys here to him and he will try to give them good deals also

Was able to get a quick wash and coat of zymol. Really need to do a full on detail ASAP.

Thinking about going to the DMV Thursday and getting a tag for the P5 and insurance put back on it...with the Miata being down right now for some reason it is reminding me why I didn't want to have just 1 car...

Replaced radiator hoses, thermostat, coolant, oil, radiator cap...much much much needed...now it won't fire...turns over, but thats it...won't start...something ignition related, but not sure what...
