That Miata sounds sick! Probably one of the best sounding I've ever heard. Most of the ones I've heard with exhaust sound like Civics.
It is sooooooooo lovely. I was fortunate enough to be the first to ride in it.

What's diameter of the MSP axel-back? 2.25"? 1.75"?
IIRC it's 2.25" like the P5, sedan etc.
^^^.... that car is SILENT compaired to mine... lol ( 3'' straight pipe no muffler no cat no resonator.... )
my 2.5 in setup is in storage incase i go back to NA for some weird reason...
Damn, I might be regretting this purchase.![]()
what kind of welder is it?
Regular sedan and p5 have 2.25"? I don't know for sure, but I think that's incorrect. Pretty sure the regular exhaust piping is smaller than the Racingbeat exhausts. I've seen them next to each other and they appear smaller. They are 1.75" I am thinking...
I just went outside and measured my stock P5 midpipe with the OEM cat and it was just a tiny bit under 2" OD.
So what do you guys think about high flow catylitic converters? The OEM cat is about 13" long so I think this MagnaFlow would be a good fit. The Corksport piping is 2.4" ID and this cat is 2.5" ID, a welder would be able to weld them together, right? I don't think I'll find a cat with the exact 2.4" fit. This specific cat is 49 state legal, because I'll need to pass emissions in two years. Anyone have any experience with passing emissions on a high flow cat?
Best of all, it's only $65 and I live 15 minutes from Summit Racing.
Here's Lewis7789's P5 on the dyno. I was off talking to some folks and then I see he's up and running. I was like... oh crap, I have to go video this!

And for those of you who may complain because it's not on youtube... well... yeah. Just don't.
I'm pretty sure they have a mig and tig welder. I know he has a 220v gas mig welder for sure though. Why do you ask?
That video was from last week. Thanks for posting it up, Phen. I was pretty happy with my pull. 115hp/112lbs @6500rpm on a Mustang Dyno and she was still pulling. Mods are MP3 ECU, AEM intake, VTCS removal, Spooled^Racing header and the bloody loud Corksport catless header back exhaust. I know 115 aint much and I had 2nd to lowest power that day but it's pretty good for a P5.
