I have both and also plan on keeping it that way. The miata's a BLAST, but the P5 is still run yet can haul everything and everyone

Scratch, just keep in mind...dealing with a Miata is much different than dealing with the Protege. Key thing being, they actually make GOOD parts for the Miata, instead of us just kinda settling for what's available for the Protege. Don't use the Protege mindset when it comes to parts. Big example, you can buy Koni yellows for the Miata. Oh... and whether it's the B6 or the BP, it's not going to die by taking a corner hard over 3k rpm.

x2 you can get GOOD reliable suspension pieces for the miata just gotta stay away from the club roadster mindset

Lol...funny you say that...I have looked around on there quite a bit, and with the GF driving this car a lot, she said it will not be low at all...

well...that just means do coilovers and jack them up high. that way you get the stiffer suspension but she doesnt have to have it "low" or throw some 18's on it with a lowering kit...it'll sit the same in her mind right?

Got my hands on some Mazda 3 wheels with decent tires for use for the summer because I'm too cheap to buy new tires for the Enkei-Harts. I'll probably slap them on tomorrow. at some point.

i want mazda 3 wheels...
almost had them, but wagon sold his.
and now i need to save moneys! have a secret mod in the brewing.
kinda expensive.

oh you just need a hug! (humpleg). i still find proteges to be very fun and beautifullll cars, especially sunlight silver. and +1 on mazda 3 wheels. i was always torn about what wheels i liked more, my 3 wheels or the enkeis.

Haha! I'm just busting balls. I like Miata's. I read Grassroots too, they are great cars. Small, inexpensive, quick, great handling. No worries, mates.

I'm still subscribed here too, but not to constantly frighten people out of Protege ownership, but rather to occasionally provide advice like "oh crap that sucks, don't bother fixing it just get a Miata". Sometimes I provide real advice or at least link to old photos of my car showing something being requested.
